    Cool reaction Roni. I love how you just show your emotions to what you are hearing/seeing. Mike Dawes is the reason that I gave up trying to play guitar and just stuck to building them instead. 😅

    LOL NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Keep playing David! Look, just pick up your guitar, and do some basic chords, OK? Come on, do it with me! Em, C, G, D. Just play those. I bet Mike Dawes started JUST like that.

    Yeah. I'm honestly really tearing up between letting the whole thing play, and give it the respect it deserves, and between pausing and giving my "two cents". I'll try to find a way to do both.

    At last a reaction to a phenomenal piece of music and guitar playing that wasn't interrupted by you sticking in your 5c's wort ever 38 seconds. This was a perfect reaction video. Pretty sure he threw that all together pretty quickly after Eddie's passing, and was hesitant to release it as it may have come off as opportunistic. I thought it was beautiful. There's a video he did with justinguitar where he goes into detail regarding the tuning and arrangement, etc.

    I also have a question to all... What is the best live Guitar solo of all time in your own opinion....? For me, Pink Floyd ,Dave Gilmore, Pulse Comfortably numb... any one can better that?

  • @DarrellW_UK

    @DarrellW_UK

    For me the best solos are (in no particular order), Jimmy Page - Stairway to Heaven, Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways, Allen Collins - Freebird, Dave Gilmore - Comfortably Numb, Eddie Van Halen - Eruption; my thinking is that at this level it’s very difficult to single one out.

    @@DarrellW_UK Oh yeah some great solo's there. Van Halen I agree with 100%, no Hendrix? Little Wing must be up there... I prefer Jimmy Paige playing "Since I've been loving you" I am a fan of more bluesy guitar. Im more into Ry Cooder than i am into Steve Vai if you catch my drift...

    @@ronireacts_to_all How about a "Solo" off? 4 suggestions, I vote for Floyds Pulse Comfortably numb but I would now, wouldn't I... you react to them and grade them in various criteria of your choosing. At least then you will have 4 epic solo's to choose from if anybody asks you in the future...

    I don't think he's talented as much as a genius. Amazing. Although that makes me never want to learn to play. If I can't excel at something, I tend to avoid doing it. Attempting to play myself would seem utterly foolish in the face of his skill. Sometimes though, I wish I was normal. I couldn't help but focus on that abnormally long right thumbnail which I assume is intentional for playing. Although I'd think using it that way would break it. Might have to send him a few bucks for some nail clippers. Absolutely no issues with long nails, but the fact that it was one and not the other 9 weirds me out. I hear you on the excelling part. I used to want to be "the best" at acting, "the best" at producing, writing, playing... but then later in life when I realized that the more I put pressure on myself to be the best, the worst I got. I hat to take a long break to realize what acting was and to understand that I need to be honest. Brutally honest. Only then I started moving forward with that skill. I don't think I'll ever be "the best" because it doesn't exist. So I'm trying to apply that on playing as well. Right now, I just want to learn the basics, later on, I'll want to translate feelings into the guitar. And that's it. Tell a story with it sort of speak. Kind of like acting... ☺️

    @@ronireacts_to_allyou can excel at things without being the best. I'd venture to say, you can master something as well without being the best too. "Best" seems pretty subjective...and nearly impossible w/8 billion people. At least with my definition. Mastery or Exceling merely means improving, getting to the point where doing a good or above average job isn't requiring tremendous effort. The only real goal is improving against yourself. Where I draw the line is things I don't have any natural skill in that would cost more in effort than I'm willing to pay for the value/enjoyment it provides me. While I enjoy music...from a playing standpoint...I'm pretty tone deaf.
