Hey all!
I'm ThatRoni and I'm here on a musical journey.
I love listening to new music and new genres, I may not like EVERYTHING, but I do my best to at least give it a chance.
I recently fell in love with playing guitars again and purchased a guitar.
I never took it seriously but ever since I got my guitar (well... to be fair - she got me), I couldn't put her down.
I'm still learning, but I'm getting there.
Now, let's watch some cool videos, shall we?

Interesting song but not quite what I expected, my usual trick took over……. I saw Muddy Waters and was expecting vintage blues 😂. He reminds me a bit of Marc Bolan (RIP) ex T Rex, very similar look! He’s got a nice voice and presence, I quite enjoyed it! Right, what’s that Fender Dred hanging up behind you? Is that what you had before it became a wall hanging? 😂 You always make me smile, your reactions are fun and enjoyable!
Only way to describe this song is special.
Great reaction has always love and respect from the UK 👍👍🌟😀😀 amazing channel 👍
You are absolutely wonderful, thank you!
Didn't catch everything, just keywords: so hot, maybe a little too strong but yummy 😊 Amazing! Better song this time. Anyway... Nothing to hate ❤❤❤
I love seeing others get just as hott an bothered by @TheDooo as the rest of us dooo 🥰🥰🥰
In several interviews the Ladies refer to their maid outfits as their "Battle Armor" or "Battle Uniform". And have mentioned that they feel uncomfortable performing out of them. On the song DICE, I have a file about it explaining about how it is a call to arms, a challenge to the Hikikomori, those "Shut ins" in Japan to get out and live life. Throw the DICE and Step out into the light of day.
So carthartic :)
Wow must be tune deaf
React to Alan Walker ❤
I love how Saiki gets to show off the nuances and playfulness in her vocals on this (as well as her harmonies with Miku), as opposed to when she has to compete with the volume and speed of their other songs. Not that I don't like their other songs. 😄
This was a very nice version indeed. Some of us who grew up with English had a hard time with the words. Yes, work to do for me too, I felt, to go back and listen to just the music, then rewind for the words again, and maybe listen again for a better sense of the whole. Thanks, Roni, for convincing me to give Band Maid a listen. I needed to because The Warning are such fans and collaborated with them. I needed to find out. And this was such a beautiful performance. (BTW, Nothing wrong with a cream mustache. Had several in my time :) )
If you think it is almost like a different band, you should check out Band Maiko's performance of "Secret Maiko Lips." kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIJ8qaN7p9DLZZM.html
If you liked this one try the acoustic version of 'Sayonakidori'. And speaking of a different band they have a couple of videos as their April Fool's Day persona, BAND-MAIKO. Check 'em out!
Thanks, Roni! My main interest in the music, and the genius there is Kanami (lead guitar), plus all the members who contribute in their own way. Catharsis is one of my all time favorites from them. There's a studio version of it that is even better IMO. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the differences between the two. Though not triggered, I personally disagree about the lyrics. To my tastes, they are very poetic, even given what is probably a clunky translation. Miku (rhythm, backup vocals) is the main lyricist and often includes wordplay, allusive imagery, moody interjections, and opaque references. Of course, all of these stylistic idiosyncrasies make it all a little hard to digest on a first go. I've heard several bilinguals say Miku's lyrics are brilliant; and even though I have to take their word for it, I think they're probably right.
FYI your mix is a bit strong on the base and hides the some of the guitar work.
This full show was ridiculous.
It's hard to believe you haven't been exposed to Ronnie and FIR yet. I'd suggest Zombified, Popular Monster, and Ronald as the next attempts but there is soooo much to explore. Popular Monster is also good as are the two duo's of I am Not a Vampire and I am not a Vampire/revamped and The Drug in me is You and The Drug in me reimagined. Then, there is the trilogy.
About the lyrics, you have to consider that the Close Caption are a raw interpretation and doesn't go in any poetic style, but give you a sense of what they sing.
Thanks for reacting to Band-Maid. This was at the tail end of the pandemic on Dec. 25th 2021. They wanted to do something special for their fans, so this was an on-line concert. As fitting, they decided to dress up for Christmas. They took songs from their catalog and turned into acoustic versions. The have had other concerts/performances without the maid outfit, but still pretty rare. Recently, they released a collaboration with the guitarist from "Incubus" (Mike) and release a music video where they are not wearing the maid outfits. They also did an acoustic concert earlier this year and did not wear the maid outfits. Also, there is their alter-ego band, "Band-Maiko" - a more traditional look - see "Secret Maiko Lips" music video on their channel.
One of the great things about Band Maid is there's something for everyone, other songs that you may like are Sayonakidori acoustic, Sart Over, Memorable, Bestie, Wonderland, Datdreaming, About Us, Endless story and plenty more for which there aren't official videos for
are you scared you might like ladybeard? it is something different
I have told you before. The real, natural Roni is beautiful. As you get more comfortable I see less and less portrayal. It is good to see that you are aware and its an open struggle. BTW, you have done a wonderful job transitioning to American English. Actually, I assumed you were from the states and your family made aliyah at some point. Very well done!!
This acoustic online okyuji was a great Christmas present from Band-Maid. You should watch the entire thing if you get a chance. The clothing rules for it were beige and red which was decided by Akane and Saiki. Akane called them reindeer colors on the accompanying commentary. One of the unexpected things that I liked about the concert was Akane playing the cajon. She said that Zildjian loaned her their top of the line cajon. I certainly hope that they let her keep it after hearing her master level performance on it.
I can't remember the interview, but Akane mentioned that she just went and bought it herself.
@@greylocke100 Damn, they should have gave one to her. They are not going to find a better way to demonstrate their product than that performance. It's good to know that she has one though, which means there is a possibility of seeing her play it again.
Acoustic? I was expecting a slow song not sure why. Lol. It's Band Maid I guess this is slow relativity speaking.
For giggles, listen to the studio version. Totally different feel.
I see Band-Maid I watch 🤘
Thank you for the reaction to Band-Maid. Excellent milkstashe!!!
Buena reacción , me quedo con su receta de café , pero con CAFÉ el de verdad , hereje¡ 😘. Salud y Rock and Roll . 🖖🤘
A rabbithole worth checking out
This was 2 years ago, not long after they had a meeting with The Warning after their gigs in the US; they had decided to learn some English and like them Pau from The Warning decided to learn some Japanese. They have both come along now and communicate a lot better, so much so that they composed a joint song during The Warning’s visit to Japan around a month ago which will be out on Band-Maid’s new album. The Warning were very well received by the Japanese audience, they have a great fanbase over three now! Your iced coffee looks seriously delicious but jeez I would only have to look at that and I would put weight on 😂
The Christmas on-line was Dec. 2021 and the meeting with The Warning was Oct. 2022 at After Shock
Ren - Children of the moon
Imagine this is ur first time o wow please start with Ronald lol
I suggest you check out and react to her cover for halo live performance is absolutely amazing thank you for reacting to LP ❤
If you want to see a crowd sing the whole song TO the artist, this is astounding... Patrick Bruel - J'te l'dis quand même (Bruel Tour en France 1990-91)
You should check out Falling in Reverse’s “I am not a Vampire Revamped” and the original “I am Not a Vampire” from over a decade ago.
This was your introduction to Falling in Reverse and Jelly Roll AND Blaire White (Sheriff)?! Girl, you've got three rabbit holes to dive into now! Enjoy! 😂

I have seen quite a few reactions to this video but yours is the only one where the reactor is stunned into silence. But your expressions told it all. 💕
your nest step on this journey is his collaborations with Tommy Emanuel. Unreal
I only wish I could hit 'Like' more than once... Love your reaction Roni!!! 🔥🤘😎🤘🔥
Roni can you do motivation by nick nittoli
(Drummer) Stix Zadinia, that is. His dad's name? Pops Zadinia! 😁 Steel Panther was more fun, when Lexxi was still in it, but Spyder is a great guy too.
you can see precisely the moment when her heart melted for Ren lol
Been watching your reactions to The Warning, and even though I’m almost a YEAR late since you first started lol, welcome to The Warning Army!! This entire concert at the Teatro Metropolitan is what sealed the deal for me as a fan :) I’m finally seeing them live in September with my 13 y/o son…we’re both excited about it!
Aye, that one hits hard. I hope his friend found the peace he was looking for, I really do.

Stunning tune, the lads a genius.
