Question: Could it be the L4/L5 that is affecting TNOs, and the actual planet is somewhere else?

I know this is Dr. Brown’s area of expertise, but I have watched a few lectures on this from him and his colleague and I have noticed that over time the swath of sky they believe planet 9 to be located in has shifted from a smaller area of sky near Orion to a thin swath closer to Taurus and now a much larger area between the two. Do you have any idea what new information has come to light to explain this changing focus? The rest of the lecture seems largely unchanged.

Since the predicted location of Planet 9 is based off of computer simulations using the scant observational data from the KBOs under study, I'm guessing that the search space is modified every time they do a new round of observing and/or find a bug in their code :)

Paul M. Sutter Thank you for the reply! I hope someone is able to locate a planet as it would be among the greatest scientific discoveries of our modern era. Truly a missing piece of the puzzle that will help trace the origins of our solar system.
