Doctor Pedro who comes to cure Mihrimah's lesions enamours her. Fatma puts Hürrem in a grat danger. Suleiman gets shocked because of what he sees as he comes to save Hürrem. Suleiman banishes Fatma from the capital. Hürrem gets terrified because of what the fortune teller has told her. Suleiman throws his heart into the flames within Mustafa's letter.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

At least Gulfem had self confidence,while Mihrimah is always with teary eyed,and can't made decision on her own,without Hurrem.Except that she defeated Shah,nothing else is powerful about her(in the series).Similar as Fahriye(Safiye's daughter). I'm not gonna compare Mihrimah to Dilruba(who was completally pshycopath,she hated and wanted to kill her nephews,grandmother,uncle and her sister in law,and hated her halfbrother for no reason)and they don't have nothing in common.Or Atike,who was selfish and spoilt brat,she also wanted Ibrahim to ascended the throne,and didn't love Kosem for no reason.She also destroyed Gevherhan's life,and etc.They are worse then Mihrimah. The only powerful and smart royal sultanas shown in both shows were: Shah, Humashah(Safiye's daughter) and Ayse(Kosem's daughter)

The real Mahidevran wasn't like in the series.She and Hurrem hated each other irl too,but she was smart irl and was loved by people and she taught Mustafa how to won the favour of the soldiers and people. Hatice,Fatma and others too weren't like in the series irl. But sadly, the writers don't care about it, and they butchered everything for drama. The most butchered were Mihrimah, Handan and Ayse.They were strong and powerful irl, but were destroyed in the series, for drama purpouse.

Yoe feel for her lol inviting a lowlife to live in her house as her lover. Hurrem found the best candidate possible The Grand Vezir. Thats how most marriages happened at that time. Sultanas married Statesman they never loved as well, most of them. Rustem loved her at least. He was honest until the end of the series where he just had enough.

Well in Hurrem's defense, marrying for love is a fairly new concept. Maybe from the Victorian era. Before that, for common man and woman, it was all about a woman's ability to handle the household and bear children and for a man to be able enough to provide her security. For wealthy men and women it was always about making alliance with the more powerful people

Also about the spoiled part, all the characters are spoiled. She's a princess raised by Hurrem ofcourse she's spoiled. The prince's can sleep around with whomever they want and yes low lives from the street as well and no one bats an eye. But Mihrimah should suddenly accept her mother's wishes and act like an obedient daughter like Hurrem was such an obedient wife 😂

@Leo Yes but if she was safe of a fratricide law and have the privilige of Blood Sultanas all her life she had forced to sacrifice her happiness while her brothers at least endlessly searched for their different loves even though she is a Blood Sultana she was forced to make sacrifices in happiness unlike her brothers. But things are not different at that time: the sisters always had to sacrifice their happiness but less their brothers (sovereigns or prince). I mean I remember Henry VIII forced one of his sisters to marry someone she doesn't love and got angry (in a hypocritical way) when his two sisters decided to get married for a times of their own free will when he decided to marry the women he wanted (in a temporary and horrifying way). Charles V tried to force one of his sisters to marry a widow when she no longer wanted to remarry (due to the fact that she never recovered from her drama) on the other hand, he later authorized himself not to not remarry because of his pain.... The list is still very long.
