    The MiG 25 must have been huge. This 1/72 kit looks similar in size to a typical 1/48 model of other fighters. Also, the fact that you can fit another cockpit into the nose with only slight modification is another indication of how large this jet is. In any case, another great video!

    This particular MiG-25 has a legendary memory of its span of service with the Indian Air Force. It is known to have flown above the Pakistani territory at a sonic boom, without even being noticed within and evading all the radars of the PAF.

    I remember the boom all too well. The aircraft was noticed on radars (Mig-25 is not stealth), F-16s were scrambled from Sargodha & Mirages from a base near Islamabad. However it photographed some certain facility near Islamabad which was no longer in use & had no protection of HQ-2 (SA-2 variant). Before the scrambled jets could arrive the Foxbat was gone. One of the 2 gentlemen who lost their jobs because of this died 2 years ago due to Covid19 & the other divides his time between Lahore & Toronto.

    Those fit issues are not to be underestimated on the ICM Mig25 kits. A excellent build of a kt that is not for inexperienced modellers. Well done.

    Great job on build! I am wondering why did you not apply all or at least some of the small stencil decals ?

  • @doctormig2709

    @doctormig2709

    Жыл бұрын

    Thank you.Well.I dont like applying stenciles because they are over pronounced and look hnrealistic on a scale model and are visible from across the room.While on the real thing 1:1 as soon as you go further than 5.meters you cant see them.

    06:05 i have 2 questions, 1 why didnt you paint the glass from inside with like a toothpick or a small paintbrush? 2 why superglue and not normal modeling glue for glass? Also nice model i am gonna buy it for 30 euros i dont care i need it on my shelf

    Because it is too complicated amd thr cockpits are closed so it is not necceserry.

    I use super glue because it doubles as putty and the bond is much stronger than that wood glue derivative that is popular for glueing glass parts
