good video, after 17 years I changed the bushings, I needed a 2 arm gear puller to free the spider. Also when you disconnect wires from the heater element, there is a white plastic piece. above it with a rubber hose plugged into it. remove this hose. It's the water level sensor. This is a rewarding job, but a time consuming one. It also saves you a lot of money. I would change shock absorbers and put new brushes in the motor while you have it apart. Make some notes and take your time

After doing all that work, which I admire you for doing, I wonder how long e.g. the Programmer will last. This may be why Miele say it's uneconomic to change the bearings. P.S. I wonder how much a new programmer would cost. These days you can of course design your own PLC based programmer if you're that way inclined.

Holy macaroni, you took out the whole thing. I have a Miele W 149 toploader. I hope i won`t have to take the drum out when replacing the bearings.

Wow I'm impressed! Only that I was waiting for the moment you would remove the door seal I don't know why but.... And know I need to look further how to take it out.

Thanks!:)A little over an hour.But I did not at once but in stages. I took it apart the machine and then waited one day until the arrival of the bearings.

I don’t think you checked the inner drum spider... worth doing - I think mine is making mine off axis and rubbing on door seal (and this is causing rumbling noise). Bearing I think is fine. Apparently the aluminium ones corrode...

Can you please help, I can't seem to knock the drum right through the bearings?

I have a Miele 3035 washing machine. I pulled out the inner drum by accident, the drum was off axis and make a lot noise. What should I do? Please help me, thanks!

Your motor needs servicing. Replace the bearings and using a commutator stone helps. A better bet would be to replace the motor bearings, lathe the commutator until it is round and use a seating stone to help bed the new brushes in. It can be difficult to remove the pulley from the motor.

The motor bearings are not in bad shape.Were oiling.The commutator has been cleaned.The engine has been cleaned of excess coal dust.Only I did not show it!:)
