Miele Flamespin 3000 Test Run 2.0

Ғылым және технология

I have fixed the mechanical noise. the back panel warped and was rubbing on the inner drum. Test Run 3.0 should be much better!
the loud bangs were the heating elements blowing out their end plugs. note to self, remove heating elements before exposing to fire :D

I once had an idea for something similar, at work we generate vast amounts of waste paper, anyone trying to burn the stuff in a controlled manner will tell you it is not easy. Paper forms a thick oxygen starving ash and blocks air flow channels rapidly. If you actually lift the paper up with something and let in the air, it once again burns fiercely. My idea was a slower moving version of the above, a slow rotation with perhaps a welded on paddle inside the drum, to constantly tip the paper over to create total combustion. The motor may even be able to be run from a Thermal electric generator or TEG has they are called. Once of course it is making heat. Anyone who has the time to try this is welcome to use my idea, if it worked well an whole house could be heated on junk mail ect. And it would not involve having to make silly paper briquettes, which take time to make and burn away rapidly. It would no doubt take a little engineering, and would perhaps involve running it outdoors with some kind of heat exchanger maybe on the flue outlet, a coil of pipe maybe. This could then run central heating and hot water indoors.

There is actually a young inventor in Africa who was chosen to come to the U.S. for a little bit for some schooling. He invented a working radio station from his house out of spare parts from an old radio and other electronics. So not only did he build the radio, he built the station. People are resourceful, they do need help, but give them credit. What they need is a working economy, schools, clothing, food and a control over diseases that result from malnutrition and close proximity living.

The whole activity. Is the flame meant to persist for a lot longer inside the barrel due to inertia of motion? What I'm asking is, is there an application for this thing?

Jason Axford Its a combustor and barrel fan all in one, if I place a densely packed copper heat exchanger over the top exhaust ports and circulate water through it very rapidly, its an insane water heater, if a bit short lived. but the idea is there at least :D
