Thanks for the tutorial! My UK model was floor standing and took a little more time to get the bottom panel off, but sure enough, when I removed the motor, there was a fragment of plastic bag in the impeller blades. I managed to get the plastic bag out without disassembling the motor by using a pair or tweezers into the hole in the motor, so hopefully no leakage issues from the gasket!

Scott, these are brilliant videos. Extremely helpful. Especially like your running commentary that includes little observations that you've gained over years of fixing these machines, like when you mention that the black water tube tends to leak but the beige/yellow water tubes don't. Wow. We all should be taking you out for a beer! Thanks.

+Michael Desmond Probably something caught in the impeller. I would try pouring vegetable oil in first to see if that lets the motor spin more freely.

Great video - thanks. My problem was a failed pressure switch (coming up as an F14 or F24 error). Replaced the switch and all is well 😊

Scott, I called Miele today and they said they do not sell the Partition Kit separately for my G2143 and would have to buy the entire motor pump 06770517 at $629. Have you heard of this before? The heater pressure switch is only $70.

"The one in the back is a little hard to get to, just take your time" is a major understatement. The clamp is rotated such that all my pliers are unable to grab the rear part. I'm working on a Miele G 1590 SCI which seems pretty similar but in general seems tighter than your machine. Could this be the difference between a US and a German model? Thanks anyway, this seems to be the best video on the net for what I'm investigating!

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel I managed to get the pump out by removing all but the one hose, then puling out the pump as far as possible and then removing the last clamp and hose. Still stuck with the next problem. The impeller has split in an upper and lower part. I assume the two parts of the wheel were heat welded together. Looks like it could be glued together but I don't know what type of plastics it is. Or if a soldering ironn might work to re-weld the wheel. Probably I should just get a replacement. Anyway, the real problem is that I can't get that wheel of the motor's axle. Good to know it's reverse threads! Putting a screw driver into one of the holes just doesn't sufficiently block the motor when serious force needs to be applied.

Well, not sure if I fixed my Miele or not but it sure is making more noise than it used to. If it turns out that I succeeded, I am definitely going to donate to your KZread business on a regular basis.

Hi Scott, I tried that and impellers are not blocked. The issue is that both the drain pump and circulation pump are working but the inlet/outlet light flashes and no water enters the machine. The inlet solenoid is shut and it’s as if a sensor is telling it not to open and allow filling. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks

Hi Scott, I replaced the heater relay in a Miele G2470 following another of your videos due to F24 error. Now the dishwasher starts the program but after a few minutes I’m getting F14 error and the water is cold (not heating at all). Stop the program and try to clean the impeller etc and start program again and get F24 again repeatedly. If i let it sit overnight it goes back to the first situation (ie starts the program until it gets to F14...). Any ideas before I replace the machine?

Hi Scott, I have stripped down my circulation motor, all I found is a small piece of egg shell, would this be enough to effect the circulation rate?

Hi Brendan, Most likely that would not be enough to limit the flow of water and cause a problem with not enough pressure. My suspicion is most likely you need to replace the circulation motor capacitor and also perhaps the heater/pressure switch.

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel Thanks for that Scott, I put it back together and you're right it wasn't the cause. The pump runs for a few seconds the stops, starts again then stops. Another thing to mention is the dishwasher tripped the RCD the last time I tried it.

Hi Scott, after fitting the new capacitor it worked for one cycle then tripped the RCD, I fitted a reconditioned circulation pump with heater and pressure switch still the same , tearing my hair out, any ideas?

Hi Scott, Your video was helpful to take the circulation pump and motor from "miele dishwasher 4225".The reason I had to take it out because a leak developed between the impeller and the motor. I removed the impeller and found a damaged washer/grommet imbeded in the body of the pump itself between the impeller and the motor. I got from Miele an exploded view of the pump and motor but it doesn't show the impeller or the washer, I therefore cannot order the part. Where can I get this part that might cost $5 and avoid paying $450. Thanks, Michael.
