I was walking with my older sister here and we walked by homeless people while holding her hand. They asked us for money we said no and a homeless guy just shouted "YOU FU***** LESBIANS!" . Best memory I got from here

I reported them to the BBB for harassment as a paying customer. They treat customers like cattle by running the inside like a jail. You could not even sit on the floor to charge your phone so it won’t get stolen! Also a weirdo tried to sit next to me on the bus. That was the last time I used Greyhound, two years ago.

Any Greyhound Depot is where State Prisons give inmates free passes to go anywhere they want when released in the US. If you ride a Greyhound Bus, there are newly released prison inmates in them. Just a little bit of info in case you want to send minors on them by themselves.

Will Houston ever have the equivalent of a Penn Station? Some confluence of transit modalities in one station ( buses, light rail, regional/commuter rail to IAH and taxies. Houston has got to stop moving like it’s small back water town and realize that the population being attracted to the area at this point is expecting a level of connectivity, infrastructure, urban centrality that can only come from having certain modalities in centrally localized areas. Why not build intermodal transit infrastructure just north of downtown to overlap with the red line which appears to be the spine of what hopefully will become a comprehensive interconnected transit system for a global city. Houston stop shooting yourself in the foot when it comes to urban planning and zoning, grow up and move forward. You have awesome potential but look how Dallas and Austin are leaving you in the dust. Not even a W or a Pennisula Hotel downtown and no regional commuter rail connecting Rosenberg/ Sugarland, Katy/Brooksire, Conroe/ Woodlands or Galveston/League City- NASA ? It will ensure long term vitality, like what’s happening in Dallas due to there progressive investment in people moving infrastructure. Kudos to DFW!

If the city would have made it safer to use the bus service they may not have moved. It's not the bus company to police the area around the bus station. Using the bus is a cheap way of travel for people that can't afford airline tickets. It's sad that the city is blaming a means of transportation and a fast food restaurant for bad city management.

The last year or so greyhound has been closing bus stations all over the place and replacing them with street corners and overpasses and run down gas stations to pick up and drop off people. I sure hope they don’t do that in Houston because it’s caused a lot of problems in cities

Greyhound is dropping all their big downtown stations. It's the only way they can compete with the other carriers that just pick you up on a street corner or gas station. So unless the city builds a transportation center which all buses can use, this is the new reality.fir Greyhound passengers everywhere.
