Continuing from part 1, we turn to making lists work for you using filters, views, rules, and formatting. We end with a look at how Lists integrates with the Power Platform to take lists even further with custom forms, flows and reporting. We wrap up with the roadmap to share what’s coming next for Microsoft Lists. [presentation + demos]

Can MS in the future move away from JSON formatting and just make some if not all the customization graphically?

Using 3 or 4 apps for work streams is a dream come true. Maybe another 30 - 40 more apps are required.

Hi Mark, would the search box be available in the MS list in MS teams? There is no way to search and the filters are not intuitive for some users. Thank you

I'm pretty new lists but this new version has made my adoption of the tool so easy. I understand a Gantt chart view was available in the old lists, is going to pulled forward into this version?

In my experience, items in Lists often has something to be done with them. It seems natural to be able to connect List items with tasks in Planner or To Do. Is there a way to do that?

I am trying to create a new List from an existing Excel table, but keep getting two error messages: : Column '' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user. List already exists Copied all data into a new excel file and formatted as a table, and also tried both uploading or selecting from OneDrive, but still no joy. Pulling my hair out! Please can you help?

How to give users customized access to portions of the data belong to them, for example HR can only access the records where the cells of department column is Updated as HR, the same for procurement and other departments. I have found some explanations around the web using custom views but it seems complicated and not straight forward, I am thinking why not creating group views by departments then give aaacess by department, don't you think that will be easier and more user friendly.

I saw someone doing that with two separate lists. Consolidated on a third. That way they could control the edit rights

Everything MS does is crap. Lists really sucks-slow, clunky and inflexible. Compared to desktop Excel the only advantage is it can easily hold BLOBs (of course, Excel online is really crappy too). The whole Teams and PowerPlatform thing remains a half-baked product.

I agree. I feel like most of this stuff could be useful after a few years of testing and tuning. Right now, half baked = accurate.

I used to say the same as being an avid Mac user. But last years I have changed my mind. Teams is great. MS Lists is powerful, yet a little buggy.
