WOW, this vid made total sense to me. You get better results using micro pad than foam, and you spend the same amount of time on the car as you would with a foam pad and you over deliver for the customer. That's how I see it. TFS Scott.

Car not in too badder condition can I do just as good job with foam cutting... don't want to go and buy microfibre pad if it just saves time. But will if it does better job. Will foam cutting pad achieve the same result? Thank you

Hey Scott - Just a tip for you - I have a Ridgid Blower Vac, it is similar to the vac you have but it has a detachable blower on it, makes it a great 2 in one tool for detailing. You can hook the hose up to the blower and then attach the Shop-Vac Micro tool attachment to it to make the end of the nozzle very small, this acts just like an air compressor for blowing off pads and for dusting/blowing out areas on cars. Hope this helps! Cheers!

  • @Benjaminvalko

The hose is and vacuum is dirty on the inside so you will be blowing dirty air into the pads.

I’ve got a Velvet Revolver (Aussie DA) and it only has ‘Nanofibre’ (marketing term for microfibre) yet they are very very soft and I have never seen any holograming, marring or defects when I’m using them. Might be the hard paint on my car but nonetheless I think they are superior

You can use a drier blower, but compressed air with a gun comes out faster so it gets deeper into the pad and helps the fibres stand up.

After watching this video I went to go buy some microfiber cutting pads. But they not only have a finishing microfiber Pad but a cutting microfiber pad and a extra cut microfiber pad. I know the finishing microfiber pad probably has little to no cut, The Cutting pad would have some cut to it, and the extra cut would be more aggressive than the cutting pad. But just curious of which one that you use? And if you have all three, it might make sense to do a video about the difference between the three of them, and where you would use each. Just a suggestion. Thank you in advance for your response

Changing the backing plate would be a good idea. I am going to buy a Harbor freight and put a 3 inch backing plate on it and see how it does. The lake country force pads are great, get the 6.5 inch. They flair out at the bottom and I like that a lot.

another great question:)..i really like griots correcting cream (not fast correcting cream) as a true one step with perhaps a orange cutting pad or a white polishing pad depending on the light defects your removing from the paint..the correcting cream leaves a great final finish for a 1 step and you can go right to a good wax or sealant that you enjoy:)

@@MrSmoothbanana generally speaking wool runs cooler than microfiber, m.f runs cooler than foam. Wool will cut harder and goes after deeper defects quicker but will leave a slight haze on the paint. Than you'll have to finish it out.

Depends on the vehicle.... Traditional One Steps are HD Speed, Griot's BOSS Sealant, Meguiar's New AIO (Supposed to cut better then HD Speed & Griot's) But for a true 1-Step Correction any medium cut polish will work on a medium/light cutting pad (Orange Lake Country). Like Griot's BOSS Correcting Cream (NOT FAST CORRECTING CREAM). That's a true 1-Step correction that will remove swirls in a timely manner.

Customers will like it if you exceed their expectations." Done. I was expecting a detailed example of how you personally prefer to use microfiber pads and why. Arm speed, edges, how you prime, do you air blow or brush between passes, how much product to use both for and after priming and again how much to use on a damp pad after cleaning between passes. How you wash and store them. Are they worth using at 3" as well. Where is that video??

Talking about black german cars washed by giant brushes for years with very heavy swirls. These kind of cars are my only customers Most of customers want 100% results ontheir daily drivers.
