    @@Adv4x4 nice man I’m using the same materials on mine too 1inch square tubing 1/8 thickness . I should be fine then to add a rack for a rtt. Appreciate you man !! Again keep up the good work man 🫡

    You're so good at fabricating the frame, you might think about making an all-purpose roof rack out of that 3/4-inch bar stock.

    This looks great! Steel it is so good too. Such an effortless finish too. I also wanted to recommend geocel 2300 for dealing things like those fasteners. The sika stuff is great too, but I like the geocel because it can all be removed easily and cleanly unlike some of the other sealants. We use it for roofing all the time. Just an idea! Love the build!

    this is pretty cool a nice simple roof rack I like the camper to, if u decide to make another trailer can u also make it with like the 2 inch or 4 inch lift axle to do like a comparison of the the two timbren axles to see what the difference it makes

  • @Adv4x4

    @Adv4x4

    Жыл бұрын

    No plans for another trailer at the moment but the difference in the lift vs non lift is just the spindle it self! In theory I should be able to just change the spindle on these axles to gain some lift. (Which I’m considering doing)

    Great video series- thank you for putting this out. I have been just starting to design my build. I really like how you framed it with the steel skeleton. With this roof rack type of system and the steel frame - would you say the roof is walkable? Would it have enough strength for a roof top tent to mount on as well? Thanks!

    I have really enjoyed this build. Im doing something similar and its helped enormously. With the trim pieces around the roof do you get water trapped up there? Im worried about my trim and rack acting like a dam and holding water.

  • @Adv4x4

    @Adv4x4

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes it can be! Which is something I didn’t really anticipate because I had to add that extra trim up front. I just store the trailer at a slight incline and it all runs off 👌🏼

    I’d advise on bolts and washers. The rivets have given me issues. No leaks but I don’t trust them now that I have time with them.

  • @alienxyt
