Respect to Foley that he admits that some of the not so nice things he said about Mero and Sable, in the past, was because he was jealous. You have a lot of wrestler "shooting" on others but not many would admit it's because they got jealous even if it is obvious that they are. But as we know wrestling is often a throat cutting business with some that win much and others go home with nothing.

Mick just admitted what ive always been saying. Most of the hate towards Rena was jealousy from the guys not reaching her level of popularity after working years.

Johnny B Badd is extremely underrated. Great look, energy, decent promo, good matches. I dug him.

@@casualgerman1949 yeah the IRONY is Vince wanted Marc in WWF BECAUSE of the Johnny B Badd gimmick, WCW were super salty over losing him so yeah they declared it was their interllectual property and Vince couldn't use it, so yeah they had to salvage what they could with the whole Wildman thing and I guess you could say Vince eventually grew cold on Mero some time after...I think there's also a story that Mero also suggested to Vince to incorporate his wife at the time Rena into storylines, Vince wasn't interested or cared much about the idea...until he saw her and immediately changed his mind lol

I have to say the idea of mankind being managed by sable and paul bearer at the same time that could have set up a marc mero vs mankind feud could have been kind of an entertaining mid card feud.

honestly I remember Marc metro actually being pretty decent in the ring

Marc Mero and Sable had it all. both looked incredible and Marc was very innovative in the ring

The Johnny B. Badd character might've been kind of silly, but boy, did Mero make it work. I know WWF was trying to be a bit more "gritty" and "raw" when he joined, but I could never warm up to the "Wild Man" gimmick. But what blew my mind was Mick saying that Mero was actually just a white (probably mediterranean) guy with a tan. Boy would that go over today 😂

I liked Marc Mero during his later WCW days and early WWF Run. He should of been a heel though doing a gimmick similar to Johnny B Badd.

I’m confused. Mick says he’s making 3k every ten days which comes out to about 9k a month which is really good money I thought (even today but especially in the early 90s. That or I’m just really poor lol). But then he says they were going to bump him up to 500 a week or 3,500 a month. That’s a pay cut not a bump up that or maybe he misspoke and it was 300 every 10 days which is 900 a month. Maybe he misspoke on purpose cause it’s none of our business what he makes really it was just confusing in the context of the story at least to me

Mero was a legit boxer. Boxing and scripted Sports entertainment are two different things. Johnny B Badd was a WCW gimmick that Vince Wanted but couldn't have

I have watched wrestling since about 1990 and I NEVER knew Marc Marro was NOT a black man 🤣🤣✌✌

Marc wasn't a great wrestler but he looked like he should have been, he looked like a million bucks, he had a lot of energy, he could move, so of course Vince thought he would be a major asset. Mick on the other hand was a mildly overweight guy famous for ripping himself apart in Japan, he was intended to be a one-and-done throwaway opponent for the Undertaker, so of course his initial contract wasn't anywhere near as good. But time showed who was the better talent.
