As long as the new starters on the O-line gel quickly, this team will function just like they are supposed to within their #SMASH offense. The Hinton-Priebe-Crippen-El-Hadi-Gentry line is talented. That's four former 4-Star recruits. Priebe is the only former 3-Star, but he was a high three and he has the most experience as a starter in the Big Ten. He was also a captain at Northwestern. Donovan Edwards and a host of talented running backs behind him will carry the majority of the load. We all know that. All of Michigan's opponents know that and they'll work hard to slow them down. That's where the receivers come into play. I see a lot of people concerned about Michigan's them, but I'm not sweating it much at all. Depth is a little bit of a concern but it's manageable. The talent at the top of the target list is very good if not elite. The top seven receiving targets should be (in projected order): 1. Colston Loveland (4*) 6'5"/240lbs - the top tight end in the country that often flexes out wide and plays from a two-point stance more often than people realize. Double digit TD's are achievable for him. 2. Tyler Morris (4*) 5'/11"/200lbs - Michigan would not have gone to overtime against Alabama without Morris outrunning the entire defense for a TD earlier in the game. He could pick up where Ronnie Bell left off a year ago. 3. Frederick Moore (3*) 6'1"/185lbs - I really liked Moore's potential before the spring game and then he pretty much confirmed my suspicions during it. He looks like a threat on any given play. 4. Donovan Edwards (5*) 6'/210lbs - The top running back will get a lot of targets in the passing game where he excels as a playmaker in the openfield. 5. Semaj Morgan (3*) 5'10"/185lbs - Will be the top slot and gadget guy after emerging as a true freshman. Expect lots of sweeps, reverses, and screens. 6. Marlin Klein (4*) 6'5"/245lbs - The German-born player from Georgia looks like the next man up at the position. He is reportedly one of the fastest guys on the team and will allow Loveland to be more flexible. 7. Kalel Mullings (4*) 6'1"/230lbs - He posted two receptions for 32 yards as the third running back in the rotation in 2023, so it's fair to say that he will make a jump in production here.

College football has changed as has the Big 10. It’s a beautiful thing that Michigan are defending National Champs at the end of the previous era. With the portal it is hard to predict teams success now. But one thing is for sure! Michigan will be a solid defensive team with a lot of swagger and great team culture now. Success breeds more success. Last season proved to me that Coach Moore will win big games. Looking forward to a great season! And smacking the Suckeyes in the head yet again!

Michigan has four projected first rounders for 2025 NFL draft. Michigan has a top 10 or top 15 roster in terms of talent according to 247. On the other hand, the passing ability of Orji, Warren, Tuttle is a big unknown. Furthermore, only 6 returning starters, but the reserves got plenty of playing time in all the blowouts last year. Last year's team was a known quantity, everyone knew they would be great. This years team, a few big question marks if we are being honest. Harbaugh raised the bar so high these past three years so that's the challenge for the new coaching staff. Jim Harbaugh is one of the best football coaches anywhere, when one considers college and the NFL. But I'm impressed with the new staff, Wink, Newsome, Alford. Very challenging schedule, so we shall see. Everyone is gunning for Michigan, and that's fine. Go Blue!!!

I think Illinois on the road will be a sneaky trap game between going on the road at Washington and playing Sparty. There's a bye after the Washington trip, which will be good for the traveling. But Beilema has a knack for getting his teams prepared for games like that. He also may have his team more improved from last year with its flaws more shored up.

While the osu game won’t be an automatic win, it’s not going to be an automatic loss. People forget that until Don Brown arrived at Michigan that they were competitive deep in the 4th quarter with guys like Speight and Okorn. Michigan has had a great defense the past 3 seasons and they’ll be great again this season. While Michigans QB situation is questionable right now, so is osu QB situation. Osu always recruits in the top 5. That hasn’t phased Michigan one bit lately.

I’m just say this I have watch football for a long time. You use to look at the team with the most 4/5 stars and be like that’s the team that’s going to win it all. Michigan last year threw that out the window. Yeah they was the most experience team but everybody except the Michigan faithful pick Alabama to win that game. So now this year comes Michigan don’t have a lot of a plethora of 4/5 stars on the team so everybody picking them to fall off. But yet they have a lot of develop players. You see Texas has a lot of 4/5 stars so everybody jumping on their bandwagon but isn’t this the team that had like the 94 rank pass defense you not going to fix that with the amount of players they to had going to the NFL. Oregon everybody says they have a great offense which they do but let’s be real they were built to play in the pac-12 where defense is optional. They play the same type of offense similar to OSU which Michigan defense is built to beat. OSU yeah they have the most talented and experienced players coming back but oh yeah every year under Ryan Day OSU has had a top team that was expected to contend and look what happens. This Michigan team that Moore took over is not like what Jim had when he took over those team had no identity. Moore team has an identity and they recruited that way . So it’s a difference. Keep thinking Michigan going to fall off. Come week 2 after the Texas game don’t be shock when Texas loses.

You’re trying to be so unbiased to the point you misjudge the potential. The culture and continuity is still there. Stars on offense and defense are still there. An offensive line full of experience guys is there coached by the best o-line coach the last couple years. Orji is the key. Come back to reality you put to much stock in Michigan don't see Michigan beating Texas Oregon and especially Ohio State Michigan will be 9-3 in regular season and very doubtful they make it the big 10 title game

I say we lose to Oregon. But even that’s a stretch. Oregon has a funny tendency of failing to live up in big games.

Um bro... Ohio st will not beat Michigan again, it's a wrap already, sorry you are not informed. Anyway Oregon cannot be at Michigan at home either. Nor can Texas. ✌️
