Tatum Swift, it's ok to be old fashioned. I can remember my mom not letting us go to sleepovers at other people's homes but friends were able to come to our house. She said " I don't know whose creeping around or what goes on at their house but I definitely know what's going on in mine". We thought she was the most unreasonable mother on the planet. It wasn't until I got older that I truly understood why she was the way she was. I followed the same rule but I did let my kids sleepover at my sister's houses with their kids. Everybody else's kids had to come to my house.

I know a mother whose 17 daughter was messing around with this 28 year old. That fool had her mind twisted. The daughter would not leave him alone and her mother sold everything in her house including the beds and moved across the country a week before she turned 18. She took her to therapy(to find the root of the problem) and talked to her constantly. Monitored emails and social media. It was lot of work but she did not want her child in that situation. A 13 year old is definitely interested in a concert and even IF a parent does not allow the child to go, children will still find a way to go... so many kids have gone to concerts without their parents even knowing. Plus it is a parents job to protect that is why the parent goes with their child to the concert or would you have rather the child sneak out a window and go on their own? I think parents do the best they can to keep their children safe. What works in one persons mind may not work in someone elses what works for one child might not work for another. Half the parents who say their child is not doing or going somewhere the child has snuck out and done 10x worse. My point was children will be exposed with or without a parent agreeing in school, social media, all types of things either a parent ensures their childs safety by being there or they do not.

That's not her second child, that was another Dominique gardner. Nique came out and did a retraction to the story, because the girl was going to try and sue her or something. But Nique did apologize for having the wrong information.

I think the interviewer know she full of it. Michelle to me doesn’t come off as concerned, her responses doesn’t really make sense to the question.

I wish Dominique had taken more time to heal and get her life back on track before getting pregnant. She could've continued her education or learned a trade. She hasn't lived life herself yet and now she's responsible for another life. SMH. I wish her well though.

This is dumb.... they were physically beaten. Is domestic violence not a crime? Yes people are charged every day. I sexual exploitation of a person not a crime? Yes of you record sexual things and publicly release them without ones consent it’s a crime. Is statutory rape not a crime? Meaning if a child is under the age 18 and a person over the age of 18 is having sex with them they can be jailed if proven they were a minor???? All of that shit r kelly did so whether they were hostages or not he is still a criminal. Who they spoke against and needs to be put in prison ... just like any normal ass weirdo who does any of that stuff.

As a parent, you do all you can to keep your children from danger. When my daughter was 18, she wanted to do certain things that I disapproved of and I made it known very loudly. As long as you live in my house, you will not do x or y. Certainly, children sneak out and do crazy shit, but how much control do you really have if someone like Robert is pulling and brainwashing. Dominique was a child and at that age, her brain was not developed enough to make decisions like that. They don’t understand long term consequences. Mom has the responsibility to drill drill drill. Mom is trying to justify the fact that she pretty much gave her blessing for Dominque to go with him. At 18, you are technically an adult, but as a parent, you still don’t give your blessing or remain mute when your child is making mistakes of that magnitude. Very complex situation. In Dominique’s case, did Robert have relations with her prior to her turning 18? If so, that’s statutory rape. Who know how all of this will pan out? I just hope that young lady and all the others get some professional help. They truly need it.

Idk why but I think this lady really did get her daughter and it’s believable that she couldn’t tell her what to do and not to do. She stayed in touch with her adult the best she could. She lied on surviving R Kelly

The only parent I can say pimped they child out is the parents of the child in the infamous sex tape video years ago because her father took money and let her continue to live with R Kelly while he was on trial and while she was still a minor! Her father saw what he did to her on that tape and was still playing guitar for him until he got arrested in 2019. If Dominique was 17 and determined to see R Kelly her mom had two choices. #1. raise hell for less than 12 months, have her daughter hate her for it and run off at 18 anyway. #2. Adivse her not to and still try and keep her close knowing she was doing it anyway. So her story makes sense to me. I believe she loves her daughter. Domonique at 17 like too many young girls are determined to grow up too fast and find out what momma tried to tell you the hard way.

I under teens. Been through those tough times but there is NO WAY I would have allowed my 17 year old daughter to see a grown man and move in with him. Me, yes, call me what you will but I would have contacted the police and reported the situation. I would have demanded the police investigate the situation. For 18 year old, your hands are tied and little that you can do. I would have hated the situation for her at 17 and would NOT have accepted and money or gifts to compensate for him having my daughter. Yes, I am very much old fashioned and know the law as well. At least the laws in my state.

I take my hat off to this mother!!! We forget that when we are teenagers we become rebellious and we make stupid decisions, this mother isn’t looking back and that’s great!!! She needs to be there for her girl now! And that’s what matters, we’ve seen how she has fought for her girl!!! We can’t just blame the parents!!! Kids here are something else!!!
