Snap! The fact he said "she had to change her date of birth on her birth certificate. R.kelly didn't know" I highly doubt a 15 year old GIRL would even think she would need to change her date of birth in order to get married! Its more likely 'someone told her that she would need to change her date of birth too get married'. His statement would be dismissed as circumstantial anyway and he (lawyer) would know this. He was clutching at straws clearly and using someone who couldn't defend herself as an example of Kelly's 'innocence'. That FACT shows a level of desperation and lack of solid defense. I'm sure Kelly also had alot of money and therefore 'really good lawyers'...if those 'top shot lawyers' had to go to that statement it shows even more that they had absolutely nothing. You have to remember that he's claiming to be innocent therefore if he tell on others he's incriminating himself and would be against his better judgment if he wants an appeal. Basically the DA cut the fish off at the head with this case. Kelly's arrogance, denial and entitlement is what got him into this predicament. No one forced him to do any of this..

They were offered deals to flip on Kelly in order to avoid prosecution, and immunity from perjury. If you think about it, many of the accomplices could say anything to get out of being charged. If you read the transcripts from the trial almost all of the "victims" were caught in multiple lies.

Standby's that overlooked...time frame = waiting years = allowed this fire turn into a bomb = is very disturbing. As soon as RK was suspected of the first victim this should have prompted a full investigation. Instead the plan was to allow RK to continue and be buried to never raise from his addiction. No matter what one may say RK was sick and needed help before everything reached to this point. This is an addiction / illness. Follow the money of who is getting paid, lawyers too and more of the puzzle will fit and give a clear picture (s). Not shifting fault, saying take a valid look at the bystanders = parents = all that could have reached out to put the fire out before it became a bomb. There are others with this illness and should be addressed ASAP. DONT WAIT At the end of the day it can save life's rather male or female. No one is a wins...no one.

The tragedy is that none of girls had a father with enough balls to come through that house with an AK.

This is just the beginning for Mr. Kelly. He still has other court cases.

He was no friend to anyone. He is despicable and you are worried about the quality of his friendships? Kelly did not like men, but only children. You think they should have ubetter friend. The guy who said he wished he tried to stop it earlier that is the best thing anyone who actually cared could do for him. Everyone will have to pay for that they do eventually. Either you pay on the front end or the back end, but you will pay! It's just a matter of preference. Had he been convicted way back then his sentence would have to shorter, he could have gotten help for his mental issues, and he would still have a lot more money than he has now. He has a ton of bad karma, had he tried to get help and stop doing these his devianttwisted behavior. When people get away with their first crime it gives them more motivation to keep doing it. They become emboldened, and creates an incentive to escalate the severity and deviance of their behavior. It what e been better for everyone if he had been co victed the first time. Now he has racked up so many different charges, hopefully he’ll never get out.

cos they get plea deals i expect..the police make a deal that if they testify and go against r kelly they wont get prosecuted themselves for their part,so the police are kinda willing to let let them off to secure the evidence they need to make the case rock solid and get the big fish a massive sentance,cos they would rather the other ones go free rather than him,because he is the most dangerous,ring leader,but its sad cos without them covering for him and supporting the abuse,he wouldnt have been able to do it, in the first place or get away with it so long,to so many,so in my mind they deserve sentancing,but if it means he dosent get to go free..i guess its worth it..!

While he serves his sentence as it's alleged that he can't read or write, he'll have lots of time to learn.

...they can always find someone to say and act the way that supports their cause.

All the parents and his ex wife should be tried. They knew what was going on. When the money gets low everyone wants to talk.

It is really hard for family and friends when someone does something really bad. They love their friend and family, want to stay loyal, however when the offense is so bad you can no longer turn a blind to it, it is hard decision to speak up or out.

I believe that when all these “witnesses”who were a part of his camp, we’re interviewed the prosecutors premised their interrogation around convicting only (RK). And the witnesses maybe not totally understanding how RICO works or how they can be charged for their roles.I believe that they incriminated themselves and that there is a chance charges will be filed in the future for their parts…I only know bits and pieces of what was said in court and what physical evidence they had because of the closed court and the CP.

My brother-in-law was a priest. There were a lot of young girls left in a community environment. He encouraged them after their family left them children in the sanctuary. And he felt responsible for them to get there high school diploma. Those who were diligent enough to learn and do their homework and pass the test, he took them out to Disney world to encourage the ones who didn't and got arrested for trafficking. He's doing 180 years for nothing. He was in the Guinness book of world records for authorizing the most books. Trying to do the right thing. I wasn't in his bedroom but I'm a witness I never seen him raped no children.

But he was 27 years old (an adult) and she was 15 (a child) when they married. And she was 13 when he met her. Her debut album came out when she was 14. They had already been an item during the making of that album.. The album is actually talking about their relations. He knew exactly what he was doing and she didn't.
