Why is Gerrard controversial? He won the thing with arguably the worst ever team to win it in 05. And he had some legendary Champions League nights in his career. He was actually voted into Uefa's team of the 21st century in 2017. It was him, Xavi and Iniesta in central midfield. There is no set list of players for this kind of thing but Gerrard for sure isn't a controversial pick. He's one of the all time great players.

@@SonnyK248 Yeh I agree, its all subjective but he was great. Seedorf for me always loses out but was sensational and won it 3 times but you can't argue against that team and the amazing player that was Gerrard.

Why is this controversial, other than the fact people like to make a laugh of Michael Owen even though he was one of the greatest strikers England ever produced. Unlucky with injuries

Spot on. Ronaldinho is better than ronaldo. And I wouldn’t have had Ramos cos he wins games but loses em for everyone too. But yeah pretty accurate Owen!

Ronaldinho went downhill fast after 2006, so he's never going to get into it. If he had Ronaldo's attitude, he'd have been in. But he turned into a waster who was more interested in parties than football.

@@jackmurphy6864 he went down hill but he didn’t go down hill fast. He had couple of very good years with Barca after 2006. Milan too. Brazilian ronaldo had parties yeah and injuries, but he’s still better alll round than cr7
