Good to see humour is alive and well after Jacinda Ardern ran out of gas like the Germans did at the end of WW2.

Ha ha ha 😂 love it! I remember! I remember when $140 would get you 14 full bags of groceries from 3Guys. I remember when loaves of bread came to the dairy uncut wrapped in wax paper and you used to bite the corners off then break the loaf 🍞 in half, dig out the middle and eat it like that. I remember when milk was delivered in glass bottles to your gate and nobody stole it.

Cheers, Michael😊 your commentary would've turned many a frown upside down. I'm also a "baby boomer", who everyone, (including some boomers, themselves), currently LOVE to HATE! Couldn't agree more regarding food and beverage, apart from tea, which I HAVE to drink whilst the liquid is still simmering, so several tiny cups of strong black simmering tea with fresh tea bag for each pouring at brekkie time , and, agreed, the flat white can be russian roulette, depending upon the talent of the baristra. Already forwarded this on to others to brighten friday evening. We've been south islanders for 16 years now, and my only regret has been that we didn't move south much sooner.

“Tea is more than merely a drink - it’s a soother and an energiser, a marker of time and a measure of it, present at the most quotidian moments of daily life and at the most special. It seeps into life and sustains it …. It’s the history and politics of India and Britain, the legacy of colonialism, the rise of global commerce and worker aspirations, the perils of climate change, and much, much more, writ large, and brewed into one glorious cup of amber liquid.’ - Darjeeling A History of the World’s Greatest Tea by Jeff Koehler.

My wife has just read this little comment of mine below and asked me to make it very clear that I use her account and all comments have been made by me, Mr Ray Vandenberg. (Male, He, Him) Now I can get on with my day without fear of having soggy house brand tea bags shoved down my throat. My wee comment below is dedicated to all frothy flat white drinkers out there. Long live the froth!

Michael,,can you do a segment on the murdered young child from TAITA, LOWER HUTT,,,,this tradgic ending of this poor young life seems been put on the back burner,,there's been a murder and no arrests been made ,it was some person or persons in that house took this little life and because everyone there closed ranks and wouldn't talk police are moving so slow,,, ,charge the lot if they play this card,I won't call it a game,,,,,I grew up in Taita and still have family there ,,,so this outrage hit home but all the cases where a child is abused and family covers up ,,,gloves off and hit them all with the maximum law allows,, ,,, I hope you read this Michael I'm a fan of yours for all the down to earth conversations on subjects of interest,,,keep up the fine work you do,,,,,,chris
