That is a great collector. He describes each watch with a short, great story. Doesn’t go on and on, and doesn’t say the obvious, but comes with a short, interesting story and then stops. Perfect balance for the audience, and great to see the width of his collection.
Best of the collector series yet...please have him back after his new pieces arrive!

I’m curious can anyone with a collection go on this series or do you need a collection costing a house? Like will they ever interview a collector with a $1k collection.

Given the interview was unscripted, I incorrectly said 30 years (how long I have been collecting) when it is much less (more like 12). That said, I stayed up until 4am to participate in a Hong Kong auction to acquire a this piece (which was new and unsealed) back for my collection. It was worth staying up for!
The size of Moser date windows seems to defy physics.

I accidentally misspoke and said I found another one 30 years later, it was closer to 12 (confused the years for how long I have been collecting given we did this in one take). Still today, one of my favorite pieces. And I hope Patek goes pack to producing similar men’s alternative shaped watches.

@@michaelkalb2896 Once you become a client of Patek, does that help you obtain more timepieces from them in the future? I'm curious as to why those with the means may choose to go with a private dealer rather than Patek. Beautiful collection. Thank you.

@@tbprofile1295 When I first started collecting, the AD relationship "game" was much different than what it is today. Back then, watches were plenty available and many purchasable at retail at discounts. Early purchases were made through Govberg, and been with them since for retail purchases.

Great video and nice to see a collector who is a student of the hobby. While he definitely has a few “trendy pieces” that we all would love to have, his collection doesn’t seem to be driven by external validation but rather his own interest in subtle nuances of the pieces.

Host doesn't know how to pronounce "aesthetic" or "eccentric" correctly; guest doesn't know how to pronounce Romain Gauthier's name correctly. Then makes a derisive comment about Bell & Ross. Then they both mispronounce De Bethune.
Stop the croaking!
