8:32 is exactly why Jordan is the greatest player of all time. This is a regular season game at the start of the season. He goes after the best player on the opposing team without worrying if he gets humiliated. He has 5 championships up until this point! And still doesn’t feel “too cool” to guard someone at maximum effort. Totally different mentality than guys today.

WHAT a game. The intensity and competition from both teams. These are the games where you really don't care who ends up winning, it was so good. I haven't seen anything like this in the past 12 years from the NBA. They need to make MJ (or Joe Dumars or Isiah Thomas) commissioner or the guy who devises the rules, cause these damns lax players of today are getting too much of a free ride. Heck, I ain't a fan, but even Kobe should be commissioner. I'm sick and tired of watching scrimmage games pretending to be regular season, playoff and finals games.

MF played against MJ 1 on 1 in highschool when MF had his Jerry Curl and he was taking to MJ but of course he didn't win. It's footage of it out there but don't know if it's on the tube. I saw it on TV when I was living in Chicago. I always thought MF was very underrated. You never hear his name when people are talking basketball. Nothing but NBA ballers come from Chicago and Maywood, IL.

Finley was bringing it to Jordan. But notice how Finley kept his composure and didn't get too caught up in a scoring battle trying to out duel Jordan. Finley kept passing the ball to his teammates and that's what ultimately got Dallas the win!

When it comes to one of the most athletic shooting guards of all time and could shoot, Michael Finley gets slept on. Makes me curious of what happened to him cuz I don't remember when he did retire.

He went to the spurs for awhile after the Mavs lost in 06 I think. He ended up winning a ring w the spurs and then soon retired. He's back with the Mavs in a management position

Finely started his rookie year off with the Phoenix Suns. The dumbest move made by the Suns was when they traded off Finely and A.C. Green to Dallas

I remember this just like yesterday, I was still in highshcool back then. As a Bulls fans I thought Bulls not gonna won that year, I mean Bulls in 96 and 97 was so tough to beat and in this game they got beat by Maverick which was not a good team that time. Ah that 4th quarter..
