    What is truly amazing about Jordan and to this day i still can't believe my eyes, is the ability to score, he just could do it in anyone's face anytime anywhere, he is one of those guys, that it doesn't matter what you do, he is going to find a way to score. And with the Sonics, they played him as good as you could play him defensively, i mean they were a hell of a team. But it made no difference, it was like it just made him more determined. Simply the GOAT.

    Gary Payton was called "the Glove" for a reason, one of the best defensive guards in NBA history. At times his defense could slow down slow even the great Michael Jordan, but to pretend like Gary could really "shut down" Michael is a joke. Jordan at his best would annihilate Payton every time, there really isn't anything Gary can do to stop it. MJ took his foot off the gas after the Bulls got the 3-0 lead in the Finals against the Sonics. Gary disrupted his game for a few games, because Gary is awesome, but the Bulls still won in six. MJ = GOAT

    The Sonics managed to win game 4 and 5 mainly because Ron Harper got injured. Harper only played a total of 14 minutes combined during those two games. Kerr only managed to hit two 3 pointers during those games which is pathetic for someone whose role is mainly to spot-up and shoot. He needed to make a lot more than that considering he is open on most of his shots, also to negate his liability on defense.

    The Bulls could have swept the Sonics if they wanted to. They were just on a whole different level

  • @junheeho6311

    @junheeho6311

    7 жыл бұрын

    Wu Liwei Yup. Ron Harper got injured early in the 2nd quarter of game 4 and the Bulls were already caught them off guard being too comfortable and started the game slow. Losing a starter obviously made it much harder for them to overcome a deficit. Jordan did a relatively good job on Payton defensively whenever he could but Payton still went to work when Kerr and Brown was in-front of him. They also had to check Hawkins as they didn't hesitate to find him if he had a mismatch. Bulls' front-court was getting out-played mainly by Kemp, so they can't overplay and help their back-court as much with Harper out. Harper ended up playing only 13 minutes in game 4 and 1 minute in game 5 and those were the games they lost to the Sonics. It's obvious that the Bulls didn't execute the adjustments that their coaching staff has devised for game 5 because they had only lost their first game of the series and they're still complacent because of how they blow-out the Sonics in the first 3 games. And also maybe the thought of game 6 being scheduled on Father's day did influence Jordan's performance in games 5 and the fact that him and Pippen needed to risk a lot more by playing their hardest at this stage to end the series 4-1. Pippen's condition was also no where near optimal and Kukoc was also hurt during the 2nd round against the Knicks and by this time almost every player has some problem with their body so it must have been crazy difficult at that stage to balance taking risks and playing hard. Maybe it was mentally and physically impossible for them to win game 4 and 5 but in the end they ended the series in 6 games which is more than good enough and that's all that matters.

    The most interesting thing about this channel, or ine the most beacause of the joy of watching the highlights and moves, is to analyse what made Jordan the best player and how he become so effective late in his career. He was a prodigy in his 20's during the 80's, but then he makes some adjustements that completely changed his game into a totally different style. It is said that Kobe played like Jordan, but to be accurate, KB played like an old MJ during the most part of his career. He was an explosive teen when he came to the league, and of course his game was quicker than later, but he always tried to emulate the second three peat Jordan offensive pack. And that is because is one the most efficient scoring modes of all time. Thanks once again for the daily highlights!

    Marrione Silva This is when he really developed his post up though, he's probably the BEST perimeter post up player of all time. I love mid range basketball and post ups, that's why I miss the 90s....Jordan was amazing at both, and so efficient. Kobe, Carmelo, and Dwyane wade developed those aspects, and now Demar Derozan and Kawhi Leonard are good at mid range and post ups(Kawhi at post ups and midrange).

    Theng Yang because he's a great three point shooter.. last time I checked 3 is more than 2 and he shoots it at 45% which prolly a little less than mj at the mid range, he's also the best (I think) percentage wise at finishing at the rim so that makes up for him not shooting mid range shots, he also can't really shoot mid range jump shots with the type of shot form he has which is one motion because he would be over shooting it all the time, which is why he uses floaters more than a jump shot at midrange

    therealist811 MJ's competition is also nothing compared to Curry's when it comes to defense, curry has to face strong athletic players with great and deceptive ball handling skills almost everynight, plus on top of that he can't be as physical as players back in the day with the rules being the way they are. The reasons people say Jordan had a harder time on offensive then modern day players are the same reasons he had an easier time on defense.

    therealist811 Elite ballhandlers of HIS TIME, people dont handle the ball the same nowadays, Michael's athletism is pretty much the average level of athletism nowadays so he would have a harder time (still would be great) nowadays, he was bigger and wider than most player back in his which you said which proves my point because he's not bigger or wider than most players nowadays

    Kobe was great but he never averaged higher than 47% in his entire career. His “arsenal” didn’t get the job done as good as Jordan’s. Jordan shot 68% in this game and a shade under 50% for his career, with his best years between 52-54%. What he had worked better - objectively speaking - than what Kobe had. Look it up yourself.
