I think he also knows that he is a parkinsons victim and a world known icon. So this is a platform and a uppotunity to make People remember this disease, and they need help for research aswell as cancer and All the other horrible diseases out there. He has done so much for parkinsons the Last 30 years, and has become a symbol on this disease.

The most frustrating thing about Parkinsons, in my experience, is that cognition, emotion, and personality are all functioning fine (at least until very late stages), but they are trapped in a body that just doesn't work right. It's frustrating for the person with the disease, it is heartbreaking and frustrating for loved ones. My dad was diagnosed in his early 50s and passed away 7 short years later. He gave up in a lot of ways after his diagnosis, and I understand it to some extent. Which is why I am so grateful and in awe of Michael J. Fox for his spirit, his fight, and for his tireless efforts to bring awareness to this disease and funding research for a cure. Thank you Mr. Fox for the hope you give all of us who have been touched by Parkinson's.

Girlie, you are tops! This disease could hit anyone at any time. A great aunt on my mothers side had it and my fathers half sister had it as well. If not but by the grace of God there goes I,... and still may have it yet. You are helping people by making your statement here. To those of you who want to judge people, acting as if they did something to bring on this disease,... you are probably someone who believes that all of the homeless either want to be there or deserve to be there, or that anyone with sickness or injury had to have offended God in some way for these things to happen. No matter what any so called minister tells you, we are all appointed a time to exit this life as we know it. We are not promised an easy life time here. Our battles and suffering allow us to evolve spiritually. For those who believe in Christ, He was made to suffer. Are we better than He? We can pray for others. We can be enlightened by the actions, words and prayers of one another during all of lifes experience here. People like Christopher Reeve ( Superman ), and Micheal have fought for all who may experience their own lifes delima. With grace, strenghth , charm and the love of their family, and of true friends and of true fans. God bless you all in this mixed up world. Please pray for true humanity to resurge, that we all may have a tomorrow and not annihilation. This is Mrs. Ace X, in Florida. Just an old woman am I.

It's advanced in the sense that we don't realize he really has been high functioning for ages. Middle aged people get diagnosed and get to this stage at the drop of a hat. Michael J got his first tremors in his late 20s. Like 29 or so. In a speaking interview where it's not an event, his composure and delivery are pretty uninhibited. Michael is going through something. It's a natural progression of Parkinson's and I don't think there's anything to worry about but with losing his mom and his new book and the insane work he's still doing everyday you can really tell that he's flat out exhausted. He looks very overwhelmed emotionally and rightfully so. It takes so much courage and so much physical and mental energy to sit down and relive a part of your life that you miss so much. Being free. Controlling the things that have controlled you over the years. Reflecting on time when it's the exact core of the story you're telling. I'm in awe of Michael for being able to smile and communicate that way, as an introvert, I would've been shut down and I have no doubt his instinct told him to take a step back and breathe in that moment but he chose to embrace and fully enjoy it and be prensent instead. I salute you Michael. This moment is more complex than it may seem and you might as well have actually invented rock and roll with your grace and your coolness that night. Thank you so much beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful man. Go Marty go go go!

Apparently the kind of Parkinson's he has is a very rare kind. Normally only people in their 60 and 70s and onwards get it. But he got it when he was barely 30. Also if you do some digging apparently there might be a connection with a old show he used to work on because 2 other crew people he worked with on the same show ended up with the same type of Parkinson's as him at a young age which given odds makes no sense. They think it might have been related to something they were exposed to. His Wiki page goes into some detail about it. It's very strange

@@ADreamingTraveler thank you, but Parkinson's is neurological, you can't "catch" it. No one knows what causes it exactly, they just know that Dopamine release in the brain is the key. Oh Michael, you are such an example for all of us! I applaud you for being such a fighter and such a wonderful person. I have MS and you give me hope, that even with such terrible diseases you and i can be a role model and an inspiration for others. Thank you Michael! That thing you said, “the disease just attached to my life, it is not the driver, always bring tears to my eyes and i always think about it when i feel overwhelmed. I love you Michael!

Michael is still a star! His body may have turned against him but his spirit is strong! His mind is sharp and full of stories and memories, he definitely stole the show here. As heartbreaking it is to see his disease progress it is also extremely inspiring and hewrt warming to see his strength and spirit soar. We love you Mike!

I remember hearing when Michael went public about his Parkinson's diagnosis. I was sitting in a barbershop legs shaking. I am two days older than Michael and thought I was a hypochondriac thinking I had Parkinson's too! Years later I found out that I also have PD. Keep on fighting the good fight and thank you for everything you do for our community ❤️

I know he wouldn't care to know it.. but I cried. This is Marty McFly, there will never be and should never be attempted to be another Marty McFly. Leave this movie alone. It sounds selfish because it is.. This is the man who made the character. This is the man who should always be remembered for playing that character. It's not even so much about the movies.. it's about him. Michael J Fox. I wish you nothing but the best my guy, you keep being you and I hope life is always enjoyable, no matter what comes your way!
