He personality is just like his play style on the pitch. He was calm, responsible and play with a big heart for United. Think of it this way, he is leaving to come back. A new permanent job for a different team will give him a chance to improve rather than being the “interim” manager if anything happens again. Thank you Carrick

i know the ole move didn't work, but i can't help but feel sad bidding goodbye to these legends. they helped the club during some dark days, esp. considering the way mourinho left the club, and with players completely demoralised, and it was nice to see the old guard return and help united stand up again. thank you michael for everything, screw the critics, you deserve every bit of credit you get.

Its a pitty he didn't stay around. I think working under ragnick would have had a huge impact on him and any future potetial role in management even if only till the end of the year I think he would have learnt a lot.

Fair play to carrick , seems a decent bloke. Best to go away recharge the batteries and come back to earn your stripes managing in your own right.

Looking back it could have been a better decision to have Carrick as the permanent manager instead of appointing rangnick

Like him or not, Carrick took over when the team was in low morale and after series of bad results... yet he had 2 wins and 1 draw (against Chelsea) which is great result, no doubt about it. Ronaldo was scoring lots of goals, Sancho played better too. Now imagine Ralf changes tactics and United doesn't play much better than under Ole... Then we would be wondering why Carrick wasn't given more chance in charge.
