What a servant. What a legend. Looking forward to seeing him on the coaching staff. Hopefully his passion, drive and experience will help the players show some genuine heart...week in, week out next year, so that we can take our rightful place at the top of the Premier League again.

Only seen carrick play when I was a lot younger and didn’t understand his role or the impact he had, think a lot of people didn’t get his impact, great player though.

If Carrick played for any top mainland European team, he would be more well known. The English style football didn't suit his skill set, but he certainly great at adapting. Man Utd legend for sure

Farid ullah Dude in the final united didnt play defensive,nor did they park bus,no high balls whereas chelsea did all these,we were better in possession,shot on target,attack.

Armando Flexxx I think if he didn’t have his heart condition then I don’t see why he couldn’t. But I think in the end it became about whether or not to risk Carrick’s life. No point putting extra stress on his heart. Maybe play dead slow matches - ones he could safely take. But playing in a game against Chelsea in a final. Nah, I wouldn’t be happy knowing there could be a risk he could die.
