I’ve watched every video this dude has made several times I love the content. I’ve been buying calls and selling calls a lot and I’ve only lost one time on my first sold call because I panicked because I didn’t want to get exercised and loose my shares BUT had I not panicked I would have made a killing in hind sight

Lol Michael is way smarter than most of us, the guy is a professional short seller and his timing is incredibly. Jerome Powell is full of shit and will be proven wrong just as Janet Yelen was proven wrong back when she was saying that there was no housing crisis. Michael was right then, and he will be proven right again

buy the dip! hey you should do a vid on butterflys...its a good way to get some income really cheap atm.

Its definitely hard finding good hedges. I am personally sticking to buying my long shares n leaps in companies i believe in and buying puts on bonds (tlt, same as burry) and puts on some companies that are just insane valuations (1 bill mkt cap with $1 mill annual revenue n repeated dilution type of companies). If all else fails, having cash on hand is always a great hedge.

Great video. Talking about buying the dip, what % of your portfolio are you holding in cash to buy the dip?

Adam, I love the way you break down issues for people and are down to earth, but really intelligent at the same time. One fundamental viewpoint I have adopted and try to incorporate into my trading strategies is that people like to be scared. Or, at least, are more comfortable being scared. And because of that, they will overpay for risk protection. That's not to say that people have no reason to be fearful. Quite the opposite... things go wrong just often enough for people to feel very justified in their fear. In a way, it is it's own market curve, similar to supply and demand. Sure there are very good reasons to be afraid, but IMO, fear is overvalued the majority of the time and it's only undervalued in the middle of an appreciation curve. It's the reason we call a market crash a "correction" and not a market spike.

the thing is there are more jobs available right now than pretty much ever, lots of materials are beginning to creep down some are dropping heavily. I actually think powell is right short to medium term but long term if we experience a big downturn the brakes are off unless in the medium term things can go to a normal state ie interest rates and the basic tools of the fed

Does not necessarily mean demand increases. You need to factor velocity of money, if it sits in bank on fear of job hiring and pay rate in contrast to buying power of that money. Rate would trickle up just on volume of money out there alone.

Very interesting that you didn't do well with insurance but you were able to become one of the top finance youtubers with a thorough understanding of options trading. Makes me wonder how complicated insurance really is.

In either scenario I believe the market runs up otherwise it gives us more buying power. They are also both correct with inflation running away until September and then evening out to some degree.

Isn't the price of used vehicles 1/3 of the total CPI inflation rate? While everything else in the basket was relatively normal, the price of used vehicles went up 10%. So hopefully we'll know more in September and if the dip is going to happen.

Well, it not so much about probabilities, that is just a way to say the future is uncertain. You can however make pattern predictions. So, the Austrian School of Economics is great at this. When interest rates are too low and people can borrow more money, so do business. This money business borrow and people spend, however, does not represent an expansion that comes from saving induced growth, it comes from ad hoc economic policies. So from the beginning, an investment that comes as a result of the manipulation of interest rates is doomed because it doesn't represent what an investor would have chosen in difficult times. Another thing is that the aggregate and supply model cannot explain how prices are formed, it just supposes that there is one point in which supply and demand intersect and there is an equilibrium. Price formation is made through expectations. When these expectations are mixed up with expansive monetary policies, prices no longer reflect what people really value, and this is a problem because prices synthesize information. It is uncertain when will the economy have a downturn, that unfortunately is going to be handled with more intervention, but the economy does not look good in the long term

This financial group, i forget the name, wrote a report that suggested inflation will be higher than what the fed is projecting. It makes sense that the fed wants to keep things calm. Im long energy and consumer products.

I'v heard he is no longer in the position of betting against the economy but the tweets make me think he's waiting for a real crash... can you do a video on how one might take a similar stance to bet against the economy... would I just place money in psq stock and watch it burn till a crash hits?
