I knew this would happen. The new CBA is awful for these players. Now there are guys that make 50-60 million a year, guys that make 2-10 million, and everything in the middle is considered too expensive/bad contract.

💯 accurate. Basically moving forward most teams will 9nky be able to carry at most 2 max type contracts in that 50mil plus. Celtics were the last to luck into the pre-new CBA restrictions before the barn door slammed shut. Teams are super wary this summer, no one is taking on Duncan at that age with that injury and still mostly a specialist type player. People should remember that before they scream for blood l. Teams will adjust eventually but for now, this is where we all are

@@marcussampson3265 Why would you suggest players are making too much money? Do you think NFL, NBA, Professional Soccer/Tennis/Rugby players are making too much money? Do you think music stars make too much money? Why, because you don't make what they make? What do you do for a living? What if I told you that you make too much money? Would that make sense to you? For the record, NBA owners make a ton much more money that the players who are actually the people putting their bodies out every day blood, sweat and tears so it baffles me why would suggest what you said.

@@SantiniAir78 My comment was he makes too much money not to perform to the level at which hes getting paid. Hes under performing his contract. He should be getting like 16-18 because he can't dominate a game hes a specialist. Hes a really good specialist but hes not ready for max money based off performance.

Eitehr way, part of the problem is the Heat need to be clearer with injuries. This ancient way of thinking that Pat has like players will be targeted if they are known to be hurt is old hat. It's 2024, lots of this can be avoided by the Heat just telling people what is going on and therefore controlling the narrative about their own franchise. The alternative is this chaos and rumour mill stuff...rant over😅

It's always like that lol. they said they're great at developing players. but they can only develop undrafted players into average players lol. meanwhile whenever they have a young talent they don't play him to get experience and sht. I mean just look at jovic. It took a while for him to get minutes and it also took an injury from teammate lol. Miami I feel like they really don't want to do everything to win. They'll keep on opting for the cheapest options to save money.

I think Duncan should become less of a thought in the Heats rotation, enough watching him sprint around to get open just to brick the shot, enough of the dribble hand offs to him.. just make him stand in the corner and space the floor, like Steve Novak, let somebody else go to work.

I think we're good and once the season starts heat fans are gonna do what we always do say "i cant believe i thought we were gonna be bad".....we have terry rozier who has now had an opportunity to get adjusted to the team and being in a winning situation, our excellent draft class and the growth of a number of our young talent im confident last years turmoil wont be repeated........sadly the only thing im really unaure of is if jimmy still has gas left or if that cliff has arrived

They overpaid him. Just like they overpaid Herro. Highs mith and if Caleb Martin's agent did not reject their offer, he would have been overpaid too.

Miami would have been stupid to try and trade our only 3 point shooter, Dunc is probably our most modern and dangerous offensive weapon . I don't buy that we tried to trade him and keep Tyler the guy plays less games then Jimmy. I don't think this is real but if it is, Duncan should be a little pissed.

We had to hear this report to know this? Of course no one wants Duncan or Herro because both suck. Why would anyone want either of those two guys. And Lowe is right on the money because this roster SUCKS.

Never understood the DeRozan trade. I don't see how he would make Miami that much better. He plays similar to Jimmy Bulter but he's more of a scorer than anything else.

Hows about I call cap.... I bet they were never actually moving Duncan, because no way was Derozan coming here to begin with. He was always going back to Cali the man is in the THEY NOT LIKE US video from K Dot... like what?? Anywhoo. I dont buy it.. There are people signing Tobias Harris for some reason, but people don't want a guy who can shoot 40% from three and now has an inside game?? Really?? SUPER CAP on this one

Duncan terrible come on bad bad contract he got overpaid and needs to step up prove me and other wrong I really need to see him put in everything he got to improve his defense and gain a little weight and develop a very good mid range game and average 24points a game instead of 12.9 that’s not cutting it

Tired of all these rumors and let down from the miami heat ! Every year is the same crap with signing our own scrubs and missing out on whales and missing out on free agency. Pat Riley is washed ever since giving Whiteside that 100 million extension. ( Whiteside, Johnson, herro , Duncan , Lowry ). Pat Riley doesn't know how to negotiate anymore. Pls retire and let Mourning and Andy to take Over.

Rozier is right. And our fans are always disgruntled and ungracious. We are still a contender and it’s a lot that goes into winning a chip that don’t strictly include dismantling your team. Look how many years it took MJ and Chicago to cook up 6 rings. Look how long it’s been since they cooked up those 6 rings. Instead of a season to season view of where we’re trending we have to see the larger picture. The celts had Tatum and Brown in place and made some lucky moves to get the others. Then faced injured teams. So all that needs to be looked at before you cry about where we are at. Right now THIS team is worth a run back and we got young pieces in development that look promising…… Stay the course and be patient! Health is an element that robs us all of getting what we want at times. Let’s see how healthy we are this season. But I like what we have and we are contenders
