I think Miami's art deco district is a cool place for best architecture!

I grew up on miami beach in the early 80's and graduated there in '93. It blows my mind how much has been updated and also how some things remained the same.

I grew up in South Beach in the 1960s. I left for college in 1970 and didn't move back. I've been an architecture geek from a very young age and always appreciated the uniqueness of the Tropical Deco buildings. The vibe in South Beach has certainly changed in the decades since I left but I'm so grateful that many of the buildings have been spared.

I had not seen this video before, but after looking at it, I want to go to Miami Beach! I just enjoy Robert's videos. So well done and entertaining. He handles a camera and edits video so well.

Rober is a great person. I watched do mamy his videos. I am going to Florida this November, thanks to Robert's videos I have better idea what I should visit.

Another wonderful video with the twist of walking south Miami. You could do another one of these, because it puts Miami in perspective. God job.

again robert you are awesome, you inspire me to road travel some more. I went to miami beach because of your explorations. And hey keywest, etc. Don't be afraid of so-called bad places, they are usually only bad at night. I am going to explore some more sometime. Been to texas, Copus Chisti,. There is so much too explore in this country that most people are not aware of. Love it when you say so hot. Great, yeah, that's what we want. How does it feel, realy hot. Awesome that's great. me to travel

you have an exciting city you must enjoy all the sites as much as we do and by the way your prices for your lunches didn't look bad I'm in San Diego and you get used to paying through the nose for lunch or dinner. It was a very good video as always thank you Robert

Yeah, we live in expensive towns, but I found it was a little too much even by Miami standards. I think of it a tourist tax. Property in South Beach is very expensive, so must be maintaining a restaurant in the area... so I didn't really mind paying.

Thank you for the very nice tour by video. Your relaxing voice and dialog make these a pleasure to watch.

Finally a great video of Miami walking.

Your clips of recent times show that you are now very reasonable in deciding where to go fast and where to be slow. It has been a very beautiful presentation. Thank you very much. Expecting more and more beautiful uploads in days ahead.

Being from Miami, i really enjoyed your tour, i remember the days when those hotels on South Beach were falling apart, the buildings were crumbling and are beautiful now,, I remember walking buy the Playboy Hotel on 163rd St North Miami, it had been closed for a few years and some developer was selling rooms for 20,000 dollars,wanted to be able to tell people i lived at a Playboy Hotel haha not even sure it is still there.I lived right off the 69th st exit, before they closed it, 511 NW 69th St. Very nice memories, and my brother still lives in Kendale. I even lived on State Rd 84 in a mobile home park, Sunshine Villige. Thanks Robert for the memories

Thanks Robert for bringing the warmth to us up north. I felt so comfortable and for few minutes, forgot we just got snow and the temps are in the 20's. Your always right on time.. BTW.. Happy New Years..

My old stomping grounds in the 80's and 90's. Now I am a little further north. Used to work right on the beach on Miami Beach for many years, and even in the high rise offices on top of the bank that was at the entrance to Lincoln Road Mall. But that was before they fixed it all up real nice and I'm not even sure if that building is still there. Can remember some pretty cool apartments back then with garden areas and long screened in patio entryways before you stepped into the living room, etc. Just unusual but at the time I didn't realize it because it seemed normal. lol. We used to take our boat out of Government Cut every weekend and the people in the cruise ships would be waving at us as we passed them by. Miami is a beautiful and very fun place to live especially if you love the outdoors and water, which I always have. There is just no place like Miami.

I lived and worked as a photographer in South Beach back in 2006 - 2007. My apartment was across the street from the Miami Beach Golf Club on Michigan between Alton and Dade and was eventually sold and turned into condos. I either rode my bicycle or walked everywhere or risk losing premiere parking spots close to my place. The Big Pink was where I liked to eat dinner and have drinks with friends and occasionally some of the places along Lincoln Road Mall. I wasn't into the local club scene.

Have you ever been to Big Bend National Park in west Texas? I think you would enjoy it immensely. It's the best kept secret in our National Park system, and because it's so far out of the way, it's not inconceivable to seemingly have it all to yourself. I've driven through it for hours and can count the number of vehicles I see on one hand. I have some samples of my work there in my NATURE gallery at facebook.com/rickdavisphotography/.
