This is my favourite song in this year's contest and tonight I was really glad to see that the staging and their performance were very good as well. It definitely deserved a spot in the final (more than some other songs that qualified, but it was democracy lol) and I'm disappointed that they didn't get enough votes. But I hope Mia and Dion are proud of what they've done on that stage because their song is amazing and they sang it well. Their team must be proud too because it was beautiful to watch, especially with the prism effects on the screens in the background. The Netherlands is my favourite country at Eurovision at the moment, S10's song was also my favourite last year. I love finding new artists from other countries through Eurovision, regardless of how far they go in the competition, and this song is exactly the genre I would normally listen to and enjoy the most, so apart from the contest I'll be sure to keep an eye on these two's music as I'm sure other new fans will too. There's something haunting about this performance, in a good way. I think it's a combination of the camerawork and the staging. I remember this immediately caught my attention when I first saw the live. The vocals are a little unpolished but overall the performance is really solid and it feels cinematic in a way. I like that it paints a story in my mind.

this to me was the MOST UNDERRATED song in the whole contest this year. I thought this song would be a sure qualifier, beautiful lyrics, powerful message, gorgeous instrumental, the vocals weren’t impressive but they were better than some other acts in the semi final.

I have never really been a ESC fan but living in the UK a Swedish friend ordered I had to watch this year. A real shame this song did not progress, truly beautiful I find myself listening to it time and again. Besides, as a TV audience, we'd better pay attention to songs only and not to 'punish' performers for their shaky voices, or lack of experience, or poor staging, and other stuff. Still listening to this song a month on, one of my favourites of this year! If only juries had been voting in the semis then it may well have got through (bring them back). Running order may not have helped them coming before Finland.

This was my favourite of this year by far.. and this never happened to me before watching the show live, but the performance made me tear up.. I'm not sure why, but maybe because I kinda knew (or more like felt) that it won't qualify as soon as I saw which countries it was gonna be competing against in this semi final.. But.. yeah.. I wanna say they deserved better, but it's more important that I feel like they did as much as they could and to me it was the perfect performance! I'm very proud and can't wait to be able to follow their journey/career in the future! Wish them both the best! ♥

You do understand that the original studioversion was pitched, copied and pasted? They are both a technician's nightmare to work with. He has a very limited baritone, and she sounds like Billy Ellish on a very bad day. The live-compromise sounded like two scared mouse.

This song deserved to go to the final, good lyrics, good instrumental, a spectacular message, in addition to the fact that the performance, lights and camera angles are one of the best in this edition (something very few countries had) this presentation enters my top 10 of the best this year.

The Dutch write lyrics in English that impress native speakers. Very few other countries' entries manage that (and I would prefer if those others wrote in their own languages!!)

They did very well. A lot of underrated songs did much better than hyped ones today: Latvia, Switzerland, Portugal, Azerbaijanm Netherlands.

This is what happens when you let the public alone decide which act goes through, they choose the comedy and novelty songs over true talent. Bring the juries back. Netherlands should have been top 5, not eliminated in semi final.

Потенциал то у песни был, но вылет справедлив. Сама по себе она не такая уж яркая и зрителям не зашла, да и мужской вокал так себе. Но мне понравилось, а S10 прекрасна и была достойна победы

This is a really beautiful song. After a tough run with their live performances, i am glad they pulled it off for SF1. Unfortunately it wasn't enough for the finals.

I watched a day late and really this was my favourite song of the night. In fact the only one I called out to my husband commenting on how good they were. I was so shocked when they didn’t get through to final. But the song will stay alive and I’ll keep listening. Thank you Mia and Dion for this!

The fact that this didn't qualify and Croatia did, tell us about what Eurovision is turning to... Seriously, I don't get it.

Heb gestemd uit Tsjechië. Het spijt me erg dat Nederland niet doorkwam, het nummer was het wel waard maar de halve finale was gewoon echt sterk. Ik ben er bang voor dat Mia en Dion nu levend worden opgevreten door de Nederlandse media, vooral omdat het een lastige verrassing is om na acht jaar weer buiten de finale te zijn. Maar het is geen leven of dood, ze deden echt hun best, dus volgend jaar beter. Heel veel liefde voor Nederland! We love you!

The Netherlands deserved to be in the final for its quality composition, its own style and its elegance. It is a pity that they do not know how to value it. From a disappointed Spanish eurofan.❤😢

I wasn't flawless and missed a vocal explosion in the end, but they did good. Such a beautiful stage performance and such a hearfelt song, I would've been happy, if they would've made it!
