Xiaomi Box S Pros: More reliable, much more better than the Tv Stick, with 2gb and 16gb of storage and ram, supports 4K, With usb and ethernet port Xiaomi Tv Box S Cons: Not too big for a tv box so this one will likely past, consumes more Volts and watts. So i think by far winner is Tv Box S cuz it will not heat so fast, and more ram and storage for some gaming, meanwhile tv stick is good tho but expect the heat of it.

I used to use roku TV boxes to get UK tv in Spain using DNS smart proxy but I add to download the UK apps in the UK before bringing the box to Spain. Will I have the same problem with android TV boxes? I now have firestick that just needs an amazon account to be in the uk to be able to download UK apps in Spain, but I wanted an android box to spread my choice. On my Mi Box S i'm unable to play MKV video files with 720p and 1080p resolution very lag strutter, even worse all players MX Player, VLC & Kodi i tried. All of them freeze the device. any one know a fix. im playing MKV video file from a USB flash drive..

2:07, why get a longer hdmi cable? the box uses a bluetooth remote, not IR, you dont need to have it in front of the TV to use it. you only need a longer HDMI if the TV is mounted high on a wall and there is nowhere for the box to sit.

pay the money and buy the box (always) sticks do not have any surplus CPU power so they get sluggish a few months after buying (when os and app get updated). Some stick streaming devices are slow out of the box.

Depends on what app you use to play the video. I think KODI will recall where you up to (but it has been a few years since I used it)

You'd have to buy an adapter for that. So you connect the input cables to the aux adapter, then connect the aux adapter to the audio port

The issue I have with Mi Stick is the bluetooth doesn't go well with bluetooth speakers and earphones. It gets choppy. Not sure what's the issue but I'm sure it wasn't my speaker/earphone as it is working fine with my laptop and cellphone. Anyone know any hacks about it?

not sure about this issue, however my experience about this problem is that, I simply restarted my xiaomi mi tv stick and try reconnect back to the Bluetooth speaker and stay with one app open at a time. Surprisingly it works as it should be. I'm suspecting the lack of RAM might be the culprit behind this problem tho.

If you are prime user then go for Amazon fire TV stick. Also if you want android tv os then buy android tv and then plug fire TV stick in one of hdmi port for prime video

I've purchased mi stick yesterday. The only problem with it was that its wifi signal receiving capability. It was weaker compared to mi box s. So thats why i got refund. Any comments regarding that issue?
