I had no one but my trusty cat to help me. Still felt plenty satisfying.

Whenever I hit him with the dragonator then proof of a hero plays, I literally get drunk with courage that I end up carting, I don’t even mind one bit.

For me it has a similar but more positive effect. When that theme starts playing during a hard battle it basically always refreshes my senses, brings up my attention and reflexes to 100% again and boosts my morale. In the entire time I have been playing monster hunter games I have never died while this theme was playing. And this theme has the same effect on my 3 friends I always play MH with so when we're hunting together and this theme starts playing we basically become invincible

@@akiraamamiya8483 In the Old World, I didn't know that all of Fatalis' attacks are all one shot but when I finally didn't get 1 shotted, I can't slay it because most of my weapons keep bouncing around and its hard to DPS Fatalis because its always flying.

my first kill with friends was me getting thrown against a wall, moxie activating, 0 carts left, and my insect glaive friend tossing the world's strongest bug at him. he was killed by a butterfly. my first kill ever was hopping into the right gathering hub at the right and getting 3 mr/hr 999s to just style on him.

As an insect glaive main I can say it happens at least once for every insect glaive main and for me personally it’s happened about 11 times

I went full berserker mode when the OG song came on and killed him. Have no friends that play this game so I've had to solo everything in this game . Its an amazing feeling getting your first clear. Nice job lads

Sadly, all my Fatalis kills were no head breaks. Never got an Evil Eye from it. I got an Evil Eye when I soloed it and only focused on its head, then when it broke twice, I return from quest. XD

Legit when this music came up I was telling my friend OMG the music! I think this is it! I think we’re going to win!! This is it!!! And then we got careless with our heroism and got wiped 😂

First time I killed Fatalis I was so excited and happy I immediately took a picture of the screen and sent it to my friends...and then I noticed I didn't carve the body and it was already too late XD.

When the OG come after the dragonator , that is a sign that all of you hunter had been there for almost years ago to wait this OG song come back through your ears ,through the era

My first kill was with my dearest bro, we were at my place with 2 PS4s. We got the kill at 26 minutes and we felt like actual gods. It sounded like we'd just won a war or something

the first time i defeated fatalis i was with my friends with 3 carts left. the proof of a hero song played and the skeleton sign appeared but unfortunately i was disconnected. my friends (who had defeated fatalis earlier without me) said things like "it's all on you now, you can do this." but then i died twice. 5 minutes left and suddenly my temporal reactivates, i wingdraked into the arena and wallbang the fatalis and boom, he died. i was screaming in tears

got that thing happened to me. desyncing sucks and i was, at the time, completely mortified since we've been trying for hours and only i got disconnected so i had to survive with like 2 carts left. i managed to kill Fatalis right after my friends finished theirs. and that is also the story on how i get my first evil eye, on my third successful fatalis hunt

Everbody here saying they went god mode when the og proof of a hero plays but when I played with randoms and the music start all of them went fully trash and carted 3 times.

Im actually a calm player. Not even dying in a souls like boss then beating him made me scream. But Fatalis man... i remember trying him alone since i wanted to beat him without any help before farming. I died at least 20 or 30 times like Sword saint Ishin from Sekiro is nothing if you fought Fatalis. Anyway the moment i finally beat him was one or maybe the only gaming moment in my career where i screamed "YEEEES" for literally 20 Seconds.. amazing Edit: i remembered i threw my Headset on my Bed and *gasped* before screaming haha

Dude isshin dropped to the threat level of a small child when I first layed eyes on fatalis. I was elated when I finally beat him.

When I heard Proof of a Hero I literally cried...Nostalgia was just way too much for me man

the music made me get hyped for you guys too

Me and my friend played this gam together, he was a veteran I was a new player. He taught me everything I know. We struggled over rajang, raging brachi, aletreon. Than we met fatalis. He had never bead fatalis before. So we fought. Over and over and over, again and again. Must have tried for 20 hours or more. One magical day, we got the the final phase, nothing new there, we’ve done it before. We had 2 faints left. We hit him with the dragonator, he broke the head completely and than died some 3 minutes later. We had like 1 minute left. 1 faint and it was 1 on 1. My hands were literally shaking. I managed to get a special sheath off and spirit slashed through him and killed him with it. I was one shot so if I didn’t get the slash off at the right time it was over. We literally cheered and shouted at 1 am. It was incredible.

The music reaching a triumphant climax just as you kill him is one of those irreplaceable moments, I’m feeling so much secondhand hype

This victory needed a cutscene of it's own, my hands were shaking for a few minutes after I slayed Fatalis with some 3 players, thanks for the help.

I hope they can remember this moment in the future

Too close for comfort

I defeated this monstrosity only once, in a solo hunt. I will NEVER forget that moment. Right there, I realized I achieved something incredible. I might cry.

For awhile, before I got into the flow of beating fatty, that theme was the "Times about to be up" theme for me...

I know that feeling. I too screamed like a maniac when me and a friend defeated it.

I haven't palyed Monster Hunter in a while. The last time I played was in Generations Ultimate a year and a half ago and I've been a fan of the franchise ever since MHP2ndG in the PSP way back in 2007 and skipped MHW and MHWI because of financial reasons (father to a lovely 5-year-old daughter and a homemaker XD) and every time I hear the OG Proof of a hero theme, it's making me tear up and remember the simple days. Back when I don't have to think of bills to pay or this anything "adults" do or have to do. You get my point right? hahaha! It's awesome that the MH team still cares for the old ones. I hope to bump in to you in MHRise. :D

When proof of a hero came on I straight up had an anime mc flashback to all the fun I've had in my first mh game and I went god mode and destroyed him with my favorite weapon the hunting horn. When I finally killed him I carved, went through the scenes and such and then cried for like 15 minutes. Such a beautiful game that introduced me to my favorite game series of all time. I look forward to the new memories I'll make now in Rise and in future games.

I remember my first kill with a friend - though I did not scream in elation, I rmb heaving such an unbelievably huge sigh of relief; 3 days of practicing with pubs to no fruition and finally this happens! He got Damage Dealer highlight for doing 2/3s of the bar while I was spamming zsd + tryharding with the siege weapons. Fast forward a month later, I have dozens of fatty kills under my belt, but this fight still aint getting old, it really is something else from the difficulty to the git gud to the music. Gonna follow zeno zoldyck’s motto of one day one kill, this fight gives me motivation to carry on in real life despite the fact some of its challenges may seem insurmountable as hell

Oh my god that pop off. My first kill on fatalis i joined a random session, many people kept joining my quest but one player stuck with me with every failure. When i eventually got that first kill, I shadowplayed it but my microphone wasnt on. Oh the devastation. Im so glad years later im able to find this video and share that joy with my friends finally. I just screamed really loud and took pictures on my phone when I killed him, but forgot to carve. The same thing happened when I killed Alatreon for the first time.

I'm very impressed that you did this without having a broken horn for a large part of the third phase.

the music peaking right as it dies is awesome

Same thing happened on the final boss fight of Rise 3.0. Shed manly tears while being buffed by the Proof of a Hero theme!

tips for beating fatalis: Use SA if you are having trouble killing it, run temp and rocksteady mantle, power prolonger 3 and tool specialist 5 if you have fatalis gear. Just keep on clutch and ZSD on it's head. Its a simple yet efficient way to farm evil eye and getting the kills easily since breaking it's head also reduce it's fire damage. Some people call it boring, but if you really want to kill it so badly you can try it.

We had flinch free but even without it our weapons had constant hyper armor throughout these animations so it would've been fine :)

I beat Fatalis solo when I beat him and I had 20 seconds left, and I literally did a victory lap around my house, my heat was beating out of my chest

Hunters: We all gonna die !!! *proof of a hero starts* Also Hunters: I could do this all day

Playing with randoms that know what to do at the start and then we all just wham on him until the very end is also why getting your first kill is also such a good feeling. Took me a full month to get it!

This same feeling that I've also felt in AT Kirin and Behemoth when I beat them. It feel like the fight has taken 10 years of your age so drainful, but when they died you feel that "victory" so damn satisfying for the first time... This trio AT Kirin, Behemoth and Fatalis, at that time were hyped by the community as the strongest and not go in with underprepared gear or else get smack kinda of situation which make the rewarding after the struggle feel so damn good.

Finally having a Monster hunter in HD was a great experience

I am thankful for the company on adding this monster into the final update. It taught me the final lesson I was avoiding and ignoring the whole 1.4k hours of my time in this game, insect Glaive. Used to hate and look down on ig because I thought it was a shitty stick no dmg weapon. And in the end, I used ig and soloed him for my first kill after plundering for his mats and breaking his horn and eyes without killing him.

It's either this, or insane cackling laughter of exultation. ;)

Once me and my 3 friends had 0 carts left (4 carts total with safeguard). We decided to go back to camp, pop a gourmet voucher and take felyne moxie just to play it safe. It wasn't enough and 1 of my friends fainted. We were really confused on why the hunt didn't fail, and it turns out someone got insurance without realizing, and we proceeded to kill fatalis

Fatalis still an epic fight since his first appearance.

Me too, I still get hyped when I fight Fatalis

All the grind was worthless, sure it kept you alive a bit longer, but this was truly a fight of how well you know this monster, his attack patterns and all that. The boys and I went balls deep optimizing our sets to best him, in the end we went to the og setup and we beat him with 3 carts. What helped? Failing like 40 times, we knew what he was gonna do by just looking/hearing. Even maxed out was a legit challenge, love that fight.
