I just want one of these shifters on my dining room table as a piece of art.

I just installed this shifter along with a stainless clutch line last weekend and i can 100% tell you this solves all the shifting problems with the MT82. I've tried Barton, Steeda shifters, different mounts- urethane, solid, sliding pins, made it better but still tough to shift, gritty - notching, and NVH!! This shifter is unbelievable, it has made shifting an actual pleasurable. The most effective parts of the design 1) attaching shifter to trans off body 2) Adjustablity of the shifter X-axis- this is overlooked by many but this single aspect allows you to really line the shifter up with the gates- love it 3) replaces that loose crap OEM shift rod with quality solid machined piece- in the end you end up with a robust shifter that is always aligned with trans shift mechanism with tight tolerance. NVH, none- zero- some vibration in shift knob but much less than i expected. Put it this way, I was recently in a 2015 Cadillac ATS with a manual trans and the shifter vibrated more than my MGW does. Its really amazing, you can actually feel each gear smoothly click into place inside of the trans every-time. I'm so overjoyed I just had to vent off all this good news. Product is quality, they give you all you need, tools needed are minimal you just have to find a way to get the car off the ground high enough.

No contest best shifter on the market, worth every penny and more. And this video just shows the amount of care and quality that goes into MGW products.

After watching this video I’m 1000% completely sold on this shifter

I had one installed last month on my 2016 GT,this shifter is the truth i love this shifter this is the one to get.

Received my shifter yesterday; got lots to install on my car this winter, going to be "fun" :P

Just ordered mine. Can’t wait to row through the gears with it. Looks like a high quality piece of craftsmanship.

Just got my racespec shifter, installing it Tuesday, can't wait

Installed one today- Took me 3.5 Hours checking and double checking the video directions. A lift would be nice to have but I used jackstands. I was able to get the bolt at the top of the transmission off by pulling with one arm on the driveshaft and using a wrench. Make SURE you get a ratcheting 10mm wrench otherwise that bolt is a PITA! This shifter is soo nice.

+Winston_Chesterfield_4th Are you still using this shifter? How has it held up in last month? Any issues? I'm pretty certin this is the shifter I will go with when I get the car back. Just curious to see how it is in daily uses. Thanks!

I just installed this today, and holy crap am I pleased with it. My last car was an 03 cobra that I had a steeda tri-ax in, and I missed the feel. This solved my problem. I feel like I'm shifting a real transmission again.

This just convinced me over the barto

This is the total solution to the body mounted stock shifter on the mt82. This will be on my car soon!

I just received my race spec for my 14GT I have 4 black washers or shims that i don't see where they go .

Will this upgrade only fix the gears locking in high RPM? Or does the OEM clutch also needs to be replaced?

Hey I just installed my MGW shifter and my 1st to 2nd is not feeling smooth going into gear I think I might of had a lock out going to 3rd I can't really tell because my shift ball is loose I don't want to put lock tite on the ball until I know the shifts are correct. How smooth are your shifts especially from 1to2 on normal driving? Mine shifter seems lined up more to the right and takes effort from neutral to get it into 1st gear. Does it supposed to fell this way or should I adjust it? Thx oh I have a 2015 Gt

Of course it’s really “easy and quick to install without bloody knuckles” when your transmission is out of your car.

Does that fit on the v6 too?

Will this work on a 04 Mustang swap?

Can this be installed with a blowfish bracket in place? I already have the blowfish shifter mount and like the driveshaft loop feature.

I'm very interested in buying this shifter . I have two questions 1, where can I purchase one of your shiters? 2, I have a 2019 BULLITT Mustang with that being said , can I use my factory shift knob ?

you can order at mgwshifters.com and yes you can use the stock knob. just need to purchase the oem knob adapter

So from what I'm seeing here, if I bought this kit. Then I would not need to buy the blow fish racing support bracket. ??? I was about to get the Barton short throw and BFR support bracket Would of cost me 700$ and change.

would this fit on mt82 mustang or certain submodel? I have a s550 v6 mustang with MT82

Just had a brand new tranny and clutch put into my car about 2 years ago, put about 20,000 miles on car since. Would it be worth going with this and a stainless line??

Its still way harder in the car, I would never try in driveway... I would have to pay someone to put this in... Yeah thats super easy without an exhaust and a drive shaft in the way that's for sure... LOL I am going to try the Steeda trans insert and a shifter Bracket for now.. Hopefully that will tighten things up enough for me to get through the first year of ownership..

I'd like to see this done on a car with everything in the way...

Call MGW, they can sent you a different handle for a shorter throw. Tell them SVTP sent you.

+xounlistedxox no it does not mount with the blowfish as it does exactly what the blowfish does and more. it would be completely redundant. best option is the BMR loop.

+GEORGE CIAMILLO sorry for the multiple posts, I was getting an error that said it didnt post my comment, so I kept trying. I'm having shifting problems with 1-2 & 2-3, already have the blowfish, & ordered a steeda shifter. if that doesnt work I may try the mgw & bmr loop

+GEORGE CIAMILLO I got a great deal on a lightly used steeda shifter and already have the blowfish bracket, so I figured I might as well give that a shot. if it doesnt work then Ill be going with the mgw & another type of driveshaft loop.
