As an Asian, we have something similar but it’s much quieter and we tilt our head up just a slight bit… like we’re saying “suuuuuuure but I don’t exactly care and I think you’re dumb” 😂

Haiya is more of a SEA thing, including Southern China and Cantonese region; in Northern China, it would more be hai or tsk. Whereas in other East Asian countries, such as Korea where they would express disappointment with phrases such as 'Ai Ssi-Bal'. Ey it's for an American audience and he's not trying to do the whole Latin America 101 thing, he's doing fluffy. but I agree, even I a non-hispanic do this and many other "Mexican" things. I'm an American creole from near the Mexican border, but grew up in white communities and I'm only learning Spanish now at 24 😭 Turns out a lot of north and south American's mannerisms are just as indigenous as they are post-colonial. If Italians eat the same damn vegetables as the Americans, it shouldnt surprise us when an Argentinian and a Quebeccer act the same. lol

@@EchoLog trust me living in this country, my whole life as a Latin American the Mexican culture is extremely high here, but it takes nothing to change the word Mexican to Hispanic or Latin American just sayin. This is why Latin Americans that are not Mexican, when traveling throughout this country gets annoyed when they call us Mexican. I am so proud to be Latin American and love my Mexican people and but I am who I am, a non-Mexican Latin American if I was born Mexican, I may have a different perspective.
