I wish Bo Madsen could stay in the band as he should be.

My favourite band. I remember hearing 156 for the first time at 16. Im 32. It is still such a great sounding song.

one of the most original and boldly creative bands ever. masters of melody. superb songwriting. these guys compose brilliant art like it's easy

One of the most underrated bands ever, i miss you guys

Love their drummer, he has such an original style and loves to use the tom toms. It's a really cool style.

There's nothing else like them on this planet! So deep so chord changing beautiful! I play them over and over again.

I watched them live in 2018 and it was one of the greatest experiences of my entire life.

Give the sound engineer a good bottle of wine for this job, unreal sound quality on this one.

One of my biggest issues with Mew over the years is their lack of beards. Glad to see them putting that right at last.

their work are as great as radiohead and they just invent new genre it's called 'alternative sci-fi rock'

Capaz vienen un día, pero no creo que solos salvo a un Niceto poneeele. No se "vo" pero extraño a Bo, sus guitarreos eran espectacularmente únicos. El vago nuevo toca bien, es zarpado crack, pero Bo tiene una forma de tocar única!

I've been harping about this for a good while, but I just can't get over it. Mads is an all around solid guitar player and he does a great job most of the time, but the way he plays that cool guitar bit in Satellites (you know the one) sounds almost comical now, quacking effects aside. Bo would play all these low notes around the melody and give it the right amount of jangle and disjointment to make it sound badass, now it just sounds like someone tried to make duck calls rock.

It does look more like a Jazzmaster at least from the pickups, at the beginning, soundwise I assumed it was a Jaguar, I think I've seen him play Jaguars too before

@@pezictusfish Bo played Jaguar in their younger years, then switched to Telecaster. Mads plays Jazzmaster and Stratocaster.

Its not about being naive, rather than aknowledging what kind of epic guitarist Bo Madsen really was. Some of the things he did with Mew is absolutely legendary, like the extended intro for "Special" in live gigs as an example.

He´s probably the most innovative guitar player in Denmark ever! World wide, up there. Such a shame! His solo stuff is great (the guitar and songwriting), but vocl wise, naaaa. He needs a great singer! IMO! But totally agree with your words! :)

Those are free-floating stands, for a more pure resonance. His snare drum is on one too.

the bassist is their original bassist, Johan Wohlert, who left for several years and returned. the guitarist, Bo Madsen, left the band in 2015.

That fucking hi-hat stand has got me stressed.

What the hell is wrong with the drummers hi hat stand? Its dancing all over the place!

I would throw an auto-tune on... It's not that Jonas can't hit the notes, there's just too much noise to hear yourself live.
