Jonathan has said Blast Doors is their hardest song for him to do live, due to the extreme changes in vocal dynamics and long sections without breathing. For that reason (he said) they tend to put it at or near the start of the set, while his voice still has the resources to manage it. He does look like his head's going to explode during it, here.

That’s why I love that song. It goes from rapping to yelping to choir boy to rapping. So technically insane and very difficult to sing along to (well)

makes a lot of sense/ I learned how to sing the song and its really fun but holy shit is it hard to sing. If I have already been singing a lot that day theres no way Im pulling it off.

I absolutely cannot believe this guy can sing like this live. This band is fucking insane.

My favorite part of this set is the fact that they're all wearing the same cute space jacket. There was a conversation wherein they all had to CHOOSE a cute space jacket.

Whoever mic'd the kit did an absolutely stellar job.

The way he sings must be exhausting for him, what a legend! awesome band!

They all have spectacular voices?! The lead especially has INCREDIBLE control over his falsetto.

they're incredible live. lucky to have seen them at a small venue in Boston.. it's wild they're not huge here yet.

Almost impossible to reproduce the sound of the album (Get to heaven) but they give it a bloody good shot. I'm 60 and I have listened to the album 300 times.true story.

That high note in Blast Doors is RIDICULOUS! And he just hits it like no problem! Love this band.

I think Fever Dream is fine, and could definitely be better, but GtH is just so, so good that it was always gonna be hard to follow up. My point being: no need to hop off the train yet!

A Fever Dream totally topped Get to Heaven. Night of the Long Knives, Run the Numbers, Put Me Together are some of the best songs they've ever written for sure

I was lucky enough to see them at a street festival in Chicago last year and I was blown away by how amazing Jon's vocals were live and how few people were there!

So sublime it made their heads go red.

the mix of stellar musicianship and awkwardness here is perfect. all the yells, grunts and the way Jeremy moves while playing the synth, I love all of it so much

Also, Michael Spearman is one of the most technically sound drummers in human history and I will fight anybody NOW, or in the year 2016 about it.

I think about this performance of The Wheel probably at least once a week. Absolutely next level.

This is the best live performance I've seen from ee, by far. What I love in particular is how assured and confident Jon seems. The whole band doesn't put a foot wrong. I can't wait for the time they're able to tour again

Wow, typically I find it hard to listen to these guys live, which is always upsetting because I adore their studio work, but this, this is really well performed.

I saw them at Alexandra Palace at the start of the year and they blew me away!

Pretty cool how Jeremy (on bass) switches straight from a pick to fingerstyle for the chorus of Blast Doors. You see it clearly at 1:12. I watched this live when it went out, but only just noticed lol

Very impressive live set. Sounds just like the album versions which is so rare.

They are so freakin tight it is amazing!

Blast Doors will remain as one of my favorite songs out of the album.

Low Four what you should do is get them back at Old Granada Studios again in 2018. I’d love to see ‘em play songs from A Fever Dream here. Keep it up!

I love Jon's reaction to that funny little whistling sound at the beginning of Distant Past. I've always wondered what that was, looks like he doesn't know either.

The band are as always amazing, but the sound is absolutely incredible! Kudos to the sound engineer!

That rendition of distant past, is absolutely mint! The second pre-chorus vocal, sounded even more fun filled than normal. And the taps... taps are always peng. Shitting myself in anticipation for what they bring to the floating table of the future!

You've prob heard them bc they're more well known than EE but please check out TV on the Radio if you haven't yet. I hear a lot of similarities between the two bands. Check out the album Return to Cookie Mountain. Fucking masterpiece.
