My father in law is hit with Alzheimers, steadily getting worse. He's at the phase that he doesn't really gets enthusiastic about things any more, feels confused and draws himself away from discussions. I discovered this video in 2018. And I remembered that he used to be a guy that drove around in his car playing classical music really loud. So I put him in front of my iPad, put my Bose noise cancelling headphones over his ears, started MEUTE/You & Me - and sat back and watched his face. When the beat dropped, he started tapping his feet and fingers to the beat, and he was totally "in" the music. Thank's MEUTE, it ment a lot to us. ****************************************** UPDATE: He passed away in November 2021. See you on the other side..

My son was a year old when this came out. He asks to listen and watch it on the big screen with the nice speakers every time he comes over for visitation. It's like a ritual we had and still have to this day even after his mother and I separated. It's like a grounding ritual for both of us that allows us to escape to our world and start our journey again. Almost like the loading music and screen before you open a saved file for your favorite game. We vibe SO HARD to this piece. Thanks for producing the bridge of joyous escape and adventure for the two of us. This will continue for years to come. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

You know what I think is the most absolutely beautiful thing about this video... Just look at the crowd for a second. That's the first time in a LONG time I've seen a group of people spectating something and not watching it through their phones. Nearly everyone in the crowd is just enjoying the moment. To save it in the back of their mind forever. Beautiful. However, thank you to the cameraman for showing it to the rest of the world xD
@ianjames3684
5 жыл бұрын
Evenchully I completely agree with your comment. I was blown away seeing the camera pan to the crowd right after the first build-up and seeing multiple crowd members respond to that climax. It's a thing of absolute beauty to see a group of individuals come together like that a truly just "be in the moment" like you said. I am in my mid-late twenties and many times I have had conversations with people who are of an older generation and a majority of them (in my experience) are kind of jaded. Music, culture, art, expression; this is the passion and fire that being engaged with life is about. Younger generations and those of which are more creative types seem to get a lot of hate and stigma. All I see here is a beautiful bunch of people admiring something equally beautiful. Much love ❤

Yea.. I fear that it will be quite some time until we may feel like we're *really* back to the life we had before 2020. Furthermore, I think there are even people who prefer this would never happen, but I'm still kind of agnostic in these respects, because I'm aware that I don't know everything about this man-made crisis and certain matters may or may not be what they more and more seem to be. Close observation, scepticism and secrecy are becoming more and more important these days - and there are good and bad aspects to that as well.

This is the greatest sensation my ears have ever experienced
This cover gave me the same chills I got when I first heard Flume’s remix, but better, because now, I’m viewing it from a truly nostalgic perspective. I’m from New Orleans. Brass always has my heart in a chokehold. This cover was so nice to hear.
It's probably the best cover I've ever heard😍

have u ever imagined if that song was played in sometime like 1850 or 1900? It would have been a revolution with no doubt
