For those wondering since I didnt add Bylteh into my tier list, they would probably somewhere between B and C, but for this video assume its C, since the stage holds it back a bit (and some of the music) but remember its just my opinion (I do like it not just playing like another Marth) Also reminder that I am already in the works on videos about Metroid Dread, just wanted to do this one as a buffer. I like the idea of giving dark samus their own move set and it would also be cool if both fusion and/or dread samus become unique fighters like what they did with zero suit samus by separating them from normal samus

@@labrat_09 The problem is that improving Samus and Dark Samus could cause some balance problems, because of how powerful they are. Not everyone can be as powerful as their canonical appearance because of that.

I love how so many of these spirits have things built in that you understand the reference without playing the game, but increases the references for those that beat the game like with the chocolate soldiers.

Bowser getting defense is quite literally the opposite of how Magnamalo enreges. Part of the fight is to hit the volatile areas of its body to make it explode and get a free topple.

You can K.O. the Metroid if you freeze it first. Use the Ice climbers. DANGER: This rest of this comment contains Dread Spoilers! I think the Dread Samus spirit adds a Metroid when Samus is at high percent to reference the end of the game when she becomes a metroid.

I'm pretty sure you can kill the Metroid AT even without freezing it first, but freezing makes the process much easier.

Love to see you're a big Monster Hunter fan as well. Really strange we never got a playable one seeing as we got a boss. Also Raven Beak would've been a sick fighter too.

Yeah I kept thinking it was inevitable since Rathalos was there day 1 and sad it didnt happen. If you havent checked them, I did make some MH videos in the past and plan on making more sometime in the future, and yes we need chad bird

1:43 You can defeat the Metroid assist trophy if you use an ice attack. The easiest way to freeze a Metroid is to play as Ice Climbers, Lucas, or Sora. Items like the Freezie or certain assist characters also work, but it depends on the items that spawn.

I tried to do that for a while during the fight but this particular Metroid wouldnt go away, hence my conclusion

I definitely wish there were special dlc for older characters that changed up their move set to match their later appearances, it would be a cool way to keep the game fresh especially cuz the new fighters are done, and I think most people would be happy with it. Easy examples would be Samus from Dread, Dark Samus with her actual moves she should have, Mario using cappy for attacks and Ganondorf with magic attacks and maybe a trident. It’s still my favourite game ever and I’m always gonna be able to have fun with it and love all the effort everyone put into it but these are just my thoughts if they wanted to change some stuff 😁

The Metroid assist trophy can be killed, but it has to be frozen first to actually damage it, so it's nearly impossible to do. The easiest way to freeze is Freezie item, and the only characters that can do it without items are Lucas, Ice Climbers, Sora and Hero (from memory at least)

i wouldve LOVED for them to add Smash Run to this game, Smash Run was THE best gamemode in Smash 4 period

I just used the Health drain on R.O.B as it kept going invincible, takes it out without having to hit.

MASSIVE METROID DREAD SPOILERS: I kinda wish that samus (metroid dread) could evolve into samus wearing the metroid suit. That design is super cool, but we only see it at the end of the game and it would be a worthy four star spirit. That said, i am also very glad that this didn’t happen, because seeing samus just go to town on raven beak, turning into a metroid and annihilating the x-raven beak-kraid creature would not have had the same impact it did if i had known about the suit in advance. Though, the fact that samus doesn’t get to keep the suit is kinda sad. Imagine that becoming the new main suit for her.

I also added a note that they use shield in battle, this script and video was made before Dread came out

I feel the Metroid spawning in Samus fight was a nod to the end of Super where *spoiler alert* the Baby shows up when all hope looks lost for Samus.

They should update the skins to include samus' varia suit or gravity suit or even metroid suit as playable skins

I have the seen it. I have a similar video but how one simple change could have fixed a lot of the writing that doesn’t require as much work. But just an opinion piece i will eventually make

Plus she’s come from well Planet Aether. I’m sorta Aether Paradise. Plus bit special place, for blue alien bit. I hear bits Lusamine. I’m here support double ganger because I’m sorta same thing.

Instead to change the moves of Samus, I will prefer they added as a new character (we have 3 Links and 2 Marios). Also I will change the moves of Dark Samus yo reflect the proper moves on Echoes and Corruption. . . . . A man can dream....right?

I just got Smash a few weeks ago… oh well, maybe Next Metroid game!

Atm i had some ideas and made a poll here and social medias to see which order to tackle them. The thing to note is that Dread is officially the end, and any new game will have a different continuity, a video on what it set for the future is more gameplay wise. And I do want to bring Crocomire but he is busy with work and college. (P.S. yeah you got the name right haha)

I like your DLC roster better. When Min Min was released I thought I bought/preordered the whole pack but apparently I only bought Min MIn :/ I would've loved to see a Hunter in the game and I really really want Capcom to make a Monster Hunter fighter using the games monsters as fighters.

Im still personally shocked that with Rathalos in the game there was no Hunter character, especially considering the popularity of the series and how good is the relationship between Nintendo and Capcom. Needless to say still sad that Elma and Xenoblade X get brushed aside once again, even though thanks to that game is where Nintendo found the solutions for stuff like Breath of the Wild (since monolith was asked to help w its open world using their knowledge in Xeno X)

They usually just add the spirits back into the Spirit Board at a later date, but it takes a while.

Look i respect your opinion and the list you had at the end but saying that Pyra and Mythra had nothing from their game is completley wrong. 1. They can switch between each other. The only other one with that gimmick is pokémon trainer. 2. ALL of their moves are moves they use in Xeno 2. 3. Their final smash is their level 4 specials both theire strongest moves in the game. And you suggestions, i can kinda see elemental burst working but with just light and fire it wouldnt be as good as it couldve been. And chain attack is Shulks final smash and it requires more than one person not just them on theire own. Lastly im sorry if this came across as mean or hateful i just thought your reason for putting them at d tier wasnt that good of a reason. But i must say again even if this didnt change your mind i still respect it cause its your opinion. Thank you for reading if you have.

First of all thanks for respecting, and I didnt tale this as hateful, trust me I've had to deal with the toxic side of Xenoblade 2 fans for some time. By no means am I hear to change the minds of those who like the character but its just a suggestion coming from adding more of that XC2 combat spirit outside of just references. What I mean in some is this (could have more but tried to keep it brief): 1-The switching is less wow since its changing between Echoes instead of completely new fighters like Trainer, or Shiek/Zela - Samus/ZSS in the past, and since its so fast and safe its not a cool new selling point when you consider what changes is arguably less than 'switch' fighters in the past. 2- their special are indeed the blade combos, others made up or recycled or fine, but I meant that since you have both these blades switching why not add elemental bursts? You do some damage with one and the opponent gets a burst, and so you have to switch to the other to break it like in XC2's combat. Be it that the enemy takes less damage with the orb, and it will leave after a while to make players use both forms like Xenoblade makes you use team synergy. 3- I wasnt referring to Chain Attacks, but say Driver combos (break - topple - launch - smash) some attacks are able to put a small status on your enemy for you to use another and combo into it dealing a bit more damage. PS - you dont necessarily need to have ideas 2-3 I listed at the same time, but one or another, so players got a feeling for XC2's combat a bit more What I was mentioning is not the lack of references to moves/animations, but mechanics from the combat so they arent just fast/safe/spam nukes, and this way you make them more interesting. They were able to achieve this in some degree with almost every other rpg fighter. PS - I still wish their alts were references to the other drivers/blades, maybe Kosmos/Telos, both Elma forms, Lora and Jin, etc. Like with Shulk, so there was some variety in colors outside of the alt colors you get from the arch-sage

all I want for samus in smash is for them to remove the other M suit it's the WORST RENDITION USE ANY OTHER ONE. and make her alternate colors actually look like her separate suits and not just recoloring's that roughly look like them. Also raven beak for smash we better get that for the next smash game

I think the Other M suit is the best version of the Varia suit. It looks really nice and slick as opposed to the overly bulky Prime and Samus Returns ones (like how do those massive shoulder parts help her in any way?). Though I do feel like the next Smash game will use the suit from Dread

With Sakurai's last Famitsu column on the subject of Pyra and Mythra (of which personally I do rank them higher since I personally find the fighting game characters to be rather boring choices for a platform fighter and Byleth just is a no from me since while I love they're unique... Fire Emblem's sales numbers per entry doesn't justify rivaling the most grossing video game series of all time and surpassing series that surpass its sales) apparently there was at one point the desire to give them those unique XBC2 mechanics however... the Switch could not handle Rex being playable in a ice climbers like fashion while also having Pyra and Mythra having the old character swap mechanic from Zelda and Sheik. So suffice to say next Smash game I imagine these two, if the next Nintendo system can handle it, will get a moveset overhaul somewhat to include the original vision where Rex was playable as well and not just apart of the taunt. I say that being tied with those mechanics since those do not work without the drive and blade gimmick, at least in the way of Xenoblade Chronicles 2's base game handles it. Torna is a different story.

Not saying they should throw rex but elemental bursts to inspire more combo gameplay using both forms to call back to the source material. Or special attacks to do driver combos of the sort. They put some effort with similar mechanics like Hero, Joker, Kazuya (controls) Shulk that feels odd that Xc2 is just the swap mechanic from trainer, older sheik/zelda and Samus and animations than an actual mechanic. Then again what I do I know

The next Smash needs to totally rework veteran fighters instead of trying so hard to include everyone.

Ok I am assuming that Steve is in C just because you don't have an opinion on Minecraft. Because for me He is S easily.

I also don’t like pyra/mythra and xenoblade 2 my favorites are Steve/Alex/zombie/enderman and terry

Terry and Kazuya are my disappointments of the dlc solely because I hate trying to figure out combos in fighting games

God I wish Smash had rollback netcode. I've barely played it at all past the first month since it's unbearable to play online.
