@@youtubesucks1821 I mean I guess they are but they take place well before the events of fusion I believe. Believe it or not Metroid fusion was the most recent chronological Metroid game. Samus was altered by the x parasite in fusion. It even says Metroid 4 before the title screen if I remember correctly

Metroid is back baby!!! The more I see the game the more I want to play. It's very impressive how polish they got the graphics to look on the switch.

@@youarebusteduser I doubt that Metroid won't do good in Japan. So maybe that's why they're focusing on the west more. Also that's untrue I looked at Japan direct for today and Metroid was present.

@@enriquegomez8114 Yes but the last main Metroid game came out 19 years ago for the GBA. They doubted the success of more Metroid. The prime games were selling less with each new one. Other M got bad reviews. Metroid was in a bad spot until they remastered Metroid 2. Even then they we're hesitant for more. They still had Prime 4 behind the scenes but I'm sure they were doubting that as they scrapped the whole thing and restarted with a new studio. F zero is not as popular as Metroid. Only more Hardcore gamers or those that grew up with SNES and had lots of games even know about it. If I ask my non gamer uncle about Metroid he'll say "Oh yeah". If I ask about F zero he'll have no idea. The only thing he knows about it is Captain Falcon is in smash

So excited for this game. Nintendo, please make more of the special editions! The stupid scalpers took them all.

the backgrounds in game look so freaking good, this game is visually outstanding

Still crazy how Nintendo went from barely acknowledging Metroid to now, basically getting on their hands and knees and begging people to play this game Can’t wait though

The Hype Cannot be More Real

This is highlight of October without a doubt! So damn hyped for this!

It's been a long time since I've felt this level of hype for a game.

I love how they waited to post these until they posted the others so that these would be closer to the top lol

Zero mission and Fusion were such a great time. I'm excited for Dread!!

This may sound surprising, but I'm actually fine if we never get a new Mother. The franchise already ended 15 years ago and I think it had a strong ending. If Itoi really wanted to do Mother 4, he would already have done it by now (and the series just wouldn't be the same without him). I have no hope we'll get the original Mother 3 officially translated either, but a remake with a global release definitely would be awesome

I don’t need a new mother game. But I do need a new itoi game. He’s already said he has no plans to make another mother game, so why not just make a completely new series? I’m sure that earthbound humor would seep into it somehow.

Same here. That is what I always expected for a Metroid 5 after finishing Fusion. Having Samus becoming a fugitive or something, exposing corrupt members of the GF and such. Not bad though, I just hope they can make it end in a high point if they mean to end the saga with Dread.

I'm a huge Metroid fan since the 8 bit we come a long way baby

GAME OF THE YEAR!! Looks sooo amazingg. Also, start the video @ 0:42 and watch Samus as she enters the beautiful Chozo temple. The camera angle changes too....so awesomeee.

The more I look at this the more hyped I am. EVERYTHING just looks better and better as I check the site, directs, and trailers. AHHHH I'm scared that I'll spend all my time playing this and just... forget about life and get totally addicted

Nintendo is usually strict on releasing on their own consoles, which is sad. Sales number would go up if they went on PS4, PC and Xbox as well. I do own a Switch so i would probably buy it.

This is probably the best Metroid game ever made, after beating this, I can say that with full confidence.

0:15 we know they still exist because you literally showed us one of them shape-shifting into an enemy in combat

With all this talk about Chozo and a connection to ZDR, makes me wonder if ZDR is in reality a sibling planet to Zebes like the Chozo that raised Samus are the nicer ones where the ones of ZDR are murderous or exiled from Zebes.

If you read the lore the chozo in zebes and tallon iv were peaceful because they wanted to be one with nature while the rest of the chozo are described as more advanced and war like

@@kevinbuchanan67 The prime games are a compromise that accidentally worked. It was originally supposed to be third person. But Retro had little experience in that area. So they opted for 1st person instead.
