Pavel wasn't bad he was drowning in sadness and can't do anything about it if you don't remember the Dark One states in the fight at Red Square that Pavel is sad to have to fight Artyom, even when he taunts Artyom during the battle. when he fought you he tell jokes about you and Try to provoke you so you get angry and kill him Without hesitation , then Pavel can die in peace he see Artyom as a friend even in the battlefield but believed in his loyalty to the Red Line he was a good guy in bad side i don't know why no one see it in this way .. i think we will meet him again in Exodus

I finally finished the game after beating 2033, and it did not disappoint, I was able to get the Good Ending on my first try and this song not only made me shed tears but it sumed up my love for this game, This series will forever be one of the greatest games in existence and I will always cherish it.

Such great games... Kind of annoying when you decide to put on the maximum difficulty (Survival/Hardcore Ranger), but the ambience, the way they recreated the world based on the books is amazing. And most importantly, the way they handled the horror parts of it. They didn't rely on jumpscares and other usual tropes, instead they created a powerful and chilling atmosphere that makes you feel true fear. And oddly enough, while you're afraid of these moments roaming across ghosts fields, you always end up coming back to them, covering every inch of this devastated land that was once Moscow and that is now filled with nothing but restless souls and monsters. I love it. Best video game franchise ever, sadly not that well-known (I've seen more people asking "What is this game?" when seeing images of them than people saying "Oh, hey, it's Metro!")

I loved these games as a kid they were the most challenging and scary I loved the this character so much he can’t compare to any other main character in a video game it’s feels so natural even tho he barely talks I will always remember artyom if they ever made movie it would be amazing

Didn't expect to cry at this ending honestly. I already knew how it ends from spoilers but I still cried. It was an amazing experience especially if you'replaying survival ranger. after replaying this game on spartan normal to get the other ending and 100%ing it I'll move on to metro exodus.

The nostalgia hurts to listen to. I just beat Sam's story and Replayed Exodus, I truly love this series and can't get enough of it

This is an amazing and symbolic peice of music In the first segment its just a lonely guitar on its own representing artyom on his own then in the second , third and fourth section it adds slowly to the peice with drums and more guitar representing how artyom is growing as a person and learning more about the dark ones and understanding them and once it gets to the fifth it adds alot mire trumpets and brass and makes it alot louder representing the final battle he has with the order fighting to save what he loves then on the sixth its all quite representing the calm after the storm where the dark ones leave and life goes back to normal Thx for reading

I love both credits songs (the good and the bad endings). This one is so hopeful when the other one... it hits your so hard after Artyom's son lines. Thank you, Artyom, for the ride of a lifetime !

Although I'm glad that Artyon gets saved and it's canon that Artyom survives, this ending just doesn't seem as real as the bad ending.

Yep, but in that term it's not really called the bad ending. Sure, there's another light-hearted ending but it's easier to say that 'bad' ending is canon in first game, 'good' ending is canon second.

Gamer6Gamer the bad ending doesn't follow the objectif of artyom and actually being forgive is way better then dying without forgiveness and leaving a child with a "safe metro" there is still bandits, creature and other stuff as said in the first game "death bring death, wars bring wars destroying d6 will only bring more destruction

I just hope the world dont end like it did in metro, really we humans can die by ourselfs and i just hope we can change for good maybe...

I don’t know why, but every time I listen to this track, the tears in my eyes are welling up. And when i finished the game it was the same. Although it would seem to be a good ending, but because of this music it feels that it has a soul or something, especially with the final monologue of Artyom, true catharsis comes to light. Truly a masterpiece track and a masterpiece game. 4A games are the real saver of СНГ(former soviet republics) gamedev. Не знаю почему, но каждый раз когда слушаю этот трэк, то слезы на глазах наворачиваются. И когда игру проходил так же было. Хотя казалось бы это хорошая концовка, но из за этой музыки чувствуется душа что ли, особенно вместе с финальным монологом Артема полуяается истиный катарсис. По настоящему шедевральный трэк и шедевральная игра. 4A games это без малого спасители снг геймдева!

I'm still sad we didn't get to see the Little Dark One all grown up in Exodus, but still. What a journey this series is. It's not the best, not even close, but I love it with all my heart. Not to mention, the Spartan Edition of Exodus was kick ass, love my Artyom statue!

I' ve never heard such a beautiful song at the end in videogames. This is so heartbreaking... Thats why we love Metro and its world, and this songs just makes thoose feelings perfectly.

There probably won't be metro 3 since Last Light resolves all the conflicts from the previous game so another metro game may never be made because it may ruin the franchise. That's just my opinion tho.

the best feeling to see the dark ones come at the end to save you :D loved the game series and hope exodus doesnt kill it, i doubt it will. The song made the ending all the better, all the work of knocking out enemies and sparing lesnitsky and pavel for a great song and ending

The bad ending was more realistic to me. They weren't expecting any outside help and the Dark Ones weren't planning on helping. It ended the war through self sacrifice and spartan glory, the men who stayed behind knew what would happen.

proof that the dark ones never wanted to atack humans its like attacking you're own ancestors i belive that the metro realy needed an angel in the form a of a child too manny fucked up shit happened in there by nature humans are good and bad at the same time we need both to exist artiyom is what humanaty stands for both good (helping and not killing his own kin if he dosen't need to ) and both evil (nukeing the dark ones ) do you think the russians are evil or any human being ? for that matter its just misunderstood nobody is truly evil or bad he needs evil to survive and good to carry on or you will not being only evil or only good won't give you the light you need to understand both to find salvaition and find you're peace or the dark gets you

Uber Kommandont Honestly, in storyline basics, it makes more sense to me for the good ending to be right. It's how Artyom realizes the mistakes he's made in the first Metro game, and redeems himself with the second chance offered to himself by the Baby Dark One.
