minor correction: for chain caster medics, the heal reduction is multiplicative meaning their healing goes like this 1st target: 100% 2nd target: 75% 3rd target: 56.3%

Another minor correction: Lumen does not increase his healing to 200% normally, only if he use his ammo to cleanse status effect

Kal approaches medicine with the philosophy that if nothing is left alive to harm her Operators then she doesn't have to heal them. Having an on demand, exploding Space Rayquaza is handy for backing up this claim.

That's the approach surgeons do in every "-tomy" operation except vasectomy. An example of this, lobotomy, might sound weird but there are cases when parts of the brain need to be removed like when tumors occur. I think this is what Rhodes Island's core medical philosophy is since most operations they do involve surgically removing tumors from the face of Terra.

I still can't believe we went from regular Medics, to Medics that can attack enemies and deal damage, to Medics that could artillery strike enemies that you can't even consider them Medics anymore. What a world we live in. Also, appreciated the usage of TF2 Medic theme. If he were to appear in Arknights, he'd definitely be a complete harmacist

Oh, 6* Medic from Team Fortress, codename "Medic". First skill is just a increasing the healing to 50% at max level, second skill is suringe gun with a mag, just like Ash or Lumen has, that deal damage to enemies. Third skill is invincibility to him and the toughest ally in his range for like 15 seconds. That would be actually cool

I'd imagine he'd be a Harmacist using the Syringe Gun to shoot people, and his skill pulls out one of three Mediguns which constantly heals a single target. The skill can be deactivated at any time but double charges while it's activated, and using it again when it's fully charged will activate its Ubercharge. Stock Medigun makes the target and the Medic invulnerable for a short amount of time, Kritzkrieg doubles the targets attack, and Vaccinator increases the def and res of the Medic and the target while the skill is double charging but takes longer to charge.

Maybe a skill that has the effect of the "Mad Milk Syringe" from MvM? Like applies a debuff that allows your operator to heal from enemies mark by it, prioritising enemies with the most HP.

My immediate use case for Lumen as a newer player was smacking Specter awake every time she self-stunned from using her S2. Good to know he'll stay useful for later content too from his sheer numbers, I like the sad fish boy.

the point of the stun is to protect specter since she will likely have low hp after S2 and the stun allows her to self-regen back some of her hp before being able to block enemies again. This can backfire sometimes and cause Specter to leak minions sometimes so it relegates her to a boss-killer/elite wave clearer Lumen changes the way she can be used and allows for more flexibility most of the time for sure (unless she gets unstunned and is forced to block a high damage enemy with less than optimal HP) but the original design of the stun isnt purely as a drawback for her insane DPS and immortality in S2 but is rather, essential to her longevity

I think everyone should start drinking seawater, because Aegyr for some reason constantly provide solid operators of some kind off their depths.

People, I can't implore you enough, build your healers. You haven't known true pain until you attempt to beat chapter 8's Talulah and Lugia stages without a decent healer roster. They are the type of class that, when you need them, you REALLY need them. Skalter alone won't save you from Kreide's global attacks... But a certain sad fish boy may.

Oh yeah, god the implication that healers are mostly useless and you don't need them is so bad. ESPECIALLY for early game players. Nobody who's just starting out has Skalter, and very few have Saria. Build your healers people.

@@FirriAprilplus Saria is the best defender healer, but even she has her limits. It’s not a matter of should you build a healer it’s, _which_ healer you’re building. Personally I prefer an AoE healer especially when an there’s alot of enemied or they have Aoe

What do medics do? Huge arts or true damage DPS, that's what they do 😎

7:22 "It (Lumen S3) gives him some atk and aspd, and *increases his healing effectiveness to 200%*" The healing effectiveness increase is *only* on the attacks that consume ammo, not on every attack. The atk and aspd increase makes him heal so much already, though.

Fully expect Kal to get her own class in the future in the same way Blitz and Liskarm get moved into Sentinel Defenders in a future update

That…might not happen. This green cat harmacist already got her ST medic module to solid her position as (fake) ST medic and on the top of that, she most-likely is one of a kind in Arknights. We might get summoner who can some how heal his/her summon but I doubt there will be another medic who can summon like Kal’sit unless that second one is Kal’sit herself but alter

I almost wish they moved both her and silence into a branch dedicated to medics who can summon units, so they could do something more with that besides making Kal'tsit a healer that can turn into a harmer when deploying her summon, and actually giving any kind of love to Silence instead of leaving her at the bottom of trash bin (God, time and map design haven't been kind to the narcoleptic bird woman).

Kal'tsit and Reed Alter have the same relationship with the rest of the medic class as the Air-2 Genie does with puny concepts like "accuracy"

It's kinda funny cause Lumen's s3 also is similar to Wisperain's s2 with the increased attack speed. The whole reason why I use and s2m3'd Wisperain was because of that and the unlimited skill duration, and Lumen is basically an upgraded version of her.

Except funnily enough when you actually need the status cleanse, then depending on how much you get hit by it Whisperain could actually be better.

I cant believe you forgot to mention that kaltsit prioritized healing herself and monst3r. To the point at which an operator could have less than 50% hp and if she takes even 1 hit, 1hp worth of health loss she heals herself. I learnt this the hard way in IS2, the ow-this-air-not-cool map

kal is a medic in name only. Not even memeing she really is not a medic at all and you should never bring her to fulfil that role. They just didnt really know what class to put her in since there was nothing like her and she technically could heal the same way as a "medic". Its better to just think of mont3r as the operator rather than kal herself.

I love using Lumen's S1 because it can technically hit tiles on his back. It is not that useful but I used that skill pretty often on IS2 because of his titanic range (and my atrocious luck). Also I'm tired of using Perfumer as my IS2 medic all the time.

My favorite use of Shining is her S3 so you can have Aak shoot a thousand syringes at your squishy ranged unit. This uses three (or even four with like Nian) deployment slots for something that possibly only needs one but you get to make your snipers go brrrr

The thing about using lumen in general content is you out him down and press skill 3. After you win the stage you would never realize that the enemy did any debuff because everything went smoothly. I smoothly won LE-8 because he keeps surtr not stunned long enough for the boss to die

Bruh I didn't realize there were only 4 AOE Medic until Yii pointed it out. I only ever use NG and sometimes Ptilo these days when I need one.

I read 4 comments saying you should build a medic. I have listened to the demand and shall be using medic bot from now on for ALL my healing.

I tend to build my medic as my 3rd to 5th tower. I have been replacing my Vanguard with Tanks later on.

Killing the enemy means they do more damage. Which means that it counts as a form of damage mitigation. And if the mitigation causes your operators' health to be higher as a result, surely that classifies as a kind of healing. So in that train of thought, every operator is some kind of medic.
