calling her Walmart Hatsune Miku is an insult to Miku and Walmart
Keep in mind, Hatsune Miku became a pop star on ACCIDENT. She's a mascot for a synthetic voice program made by a Yamaha company. Crypton Future Media had no intention of making her a celebrity. Weebs just put 2 and 2 together and uploaded music videos to Nico Nico Douga and KZread with original art and animations. To put it into perspective, this would be like a random background character in a B movie suddenly getting scouted by a talent agent and being asked to star as the protagonist in a summer blockbuster...and it made Avengers money.
I refuse to believe they don’t have enough money to make a decent model
Ah yes the metaverse, a bootleg VR chat. A place where boomers try and fit in with the youngsters. This is actually hilarious, sometimes I wonder what goes on in the developers head's when they thought about this.
To even compare this to any Vocaloid on any level should be considered an insult, let alone Miku herself.
The fact they really chose the same hair color as hatsune miku I’m dumbfounded
The metaverse being 15 years late on videogames and pop culture is hilarious to see
I remember the first time I saw Miku and was blown away by the technology behind it and creating a voice by piecing together recorded notes into a vocal song was amazing to me. It’s no wonder she became a worldwide phenomenon,I mean she even appeared on the David Letterman Show(you youngsters look it up 😛) there may be imitators but none will take her place
Calling her a Walmart Hatsune Miku would be a compliment. She's an industry plant so void of uniqueness that Milli Vanilli would laugh at her ass.
I’m so glad someone else made the “bratz doll” comparison lmao she really does look like one
There’s a shopping list of things wrong with this. One, they didn’t even bother changing her appearance like her hair to be something different. Two, they added salt to an open wound with such a terrible backstory involving clout-like fame, already mentioning KZread and oof, Tik Tok. And three, the Metaverse is already near extinction, so, lol, good luck to them making a bootleg abomination enter the hologram stage that never will happen like when the NFT console will likely never happen in 2024 due to how heavily plagiarized it is.
The fact that people can assume that she kinda looks like Miku, shows that how iconic Miku’s design is
What makes Miku and vocaloid so good is that its just not one person, its an entire community with unique talents. So many legends like Wowaka, Cosmo@bouso, Powapowa-P, samfree, so many artists the contribute to this beautiful community. Do you like dark songs? Theres Maretu and Kikuo. Stories? Mothy and Hitoshizuku×Yama△, not to mention the entire fandom Ghost and Pals, R.I.P., and Vanelilly have.
We all know Hatsune Miku's twin tails are so iconic, basically no original character design would ever share.
I haven't seen Hatsune live, but I have seen recordings and frankly those are insanely impressive.
"put a mask on her because they're too lazy to sync her mouth movement"
Miku : Vocaloid loved by all, has multiple friends (the other vocaloids), is adorable, is famous, and has sang for probably hundreds of songs already
Metaverse for being "the future" sure need to get some updates on virtual idols, starting with Hatsune Miku who has been having concerts for around a decade and following with the VTuber's boom that Kitsuna Ai started.
Calling her a dollar store Miku would be an insult to dollar stores everywhere.
"She looks like a rejected Fortnite skin"
