A few corrections: Miku’s item isn’t a leek though, it’s a negi/green onion. Rin and Len are supposed to be mirror reflections of each other, hence the Kagami part in their names.

One thing I would like to add are Kaito and Meiko's voicebank numbers. The crypton vocaloids have numbers except Kaito and Meiko, their numbers are revealed in the song 1925's modules. On the project diva module, their numbers are on the back of their outfit, both models are shown with the number 00 as they don't actually have numbers.

I was lucky enough to attend The End at Paris in 2013. It was interesting to see lots of variety in the attendance: people in Miku cosplays and/or with Miku merch, old people you'd usually see at classical operas etc. The opera itself was a surreal and amazing experience!

Edit: Galaco is the only one who got an update. I honestly forgot about her since it was so hard to obtain her. RIP to all of the private vocaloids [They never got an update]

Naoto treating Kaito like his son is so wholesome! Also, I would like to mention a fact not brought up in the video. Oliver's voice provider's identity has never been known. The reason this is, is that his voice provider was a British boy who was only 13 years old when he recorded for Oliver, so VocaTone couldn't reveal his identity for legal reasons.

I'm surprised I knew about quite a lot of these. One thing that surprised me is that Piko and Miki were supposed to be counterparts, I've never realized the similarities in their designs until I saw them side by side like that! Also that anime in MMD looks like something I'd totally watch. Yeah I have a weird taste for amateurish projects, idk why. Oh and while this iceberg focuses more on development stuff and official spinoff products rather than specific producers, I've yet to see anyone talking about NashimotoP's livestreams. A few years ago, this producer (who happens to be one of my favorites) made some livestreams on his youtube channel, and the view was quite disturbing. There was a *huge* amount of trash bags piling up in the room, and he wasn't looking pretty good either. In the small bit I watched, he was playing a guitar while singing, but like, y'know how people sound when they try to sing while they're very stressed or having a breakdown? Well it sounded like that. Those livestreams have since been deleted, so I hope he is in a better condition now.

Okay you can NOT just talk about Yanhe’s voice originally being Moke’s and leave it at that lmao. The entire creation of the Vsingers is an iceberg of its own and it’s absolutely fucking wild

@@snowshower4415 Long story short, a LOT of shit happened. Five of the Vsingers (Yanhe being the exception) were created as part of a fan design contest. But suddenly, the funds went missing, and it was discovered that the CEO (I think) of Shanghai Henian had spent all of the funds for these new Vocaloids… at a brothel. Thus, Yanhe was created to try to hold people over for a while, using the vocal samples that had been recorded for Moke, and there was understandably a lot of disagreement and contempt in the Chinese Vocaloid community because of it. Oh, and Qingxian’s original design for the aforementioned contest was horrible traced Touhou fanart, so her current design was almost entirely done from scratch. Her purple hair is pretty much the only consistent feature.

Luka's was due to a famous artist's depiction of how Luka's hair reminded him of an Octopus, "Tako" meaning Ocotpus in Japanese; hence Tako Luka. So far as I know, Gumi is the only one based on color alone.

@WillaWillaWilla For Senbonzakura: The song itself has a very Japanese nationalistic message (about Japan having lost some of its old culture and being forced to industrialize to prevent themselves from European imperialist takeover). The song has heavy political undertones about restoring glory to Japan which........considering the fact Japan has invaded Korean numerous times, subjected their people to poor treatment, etc, the content of the song could be viewed as offensive to Koreans. Ohedo Julianight: I'm not really sure with this one, but the Project Diva wiki says its possible this one was removed due to Japanese cultural references....? I'm not really sure.

@@KulkowaAnhe I think it's more "if it has to do with Japanese nationalism and Japanese imperialism" Korea will censor/remove it. Because of this, I have a hard time listening to Senbonzakura without really thinking about its political undertones.

@@imacupcake probably because every time someone got to making one, another would pop up and eventually some drama would pop up with one and that one got deleted. Some people got threatened or even if there were no threats, they felt threatened.

10:51 although it does sound like vocaloid, believe it or not, they didn't use vocaloid! instead they got a voice actor and put a lot type of robot effects to make it sound like vocaloid.

@@Jennifer-ok6cv At the same time tho, a lot of Vocaloids a tuned to not sound like their voice providers at all. Like Miku, Rin and Len don’t really sound like their voice providers and in a number of songs. Kaito doesn’t either.
