Ғылым және технология

Metastatic spinal cord compression (MSCC) is an oncological emergency that describes when tumours (usually having spread from another part of the body) grow in the spinal column and compress the spinal cord.
This video describes the effects in terms of symptoms and signs of MSCC, which cancers it is most commonly associated with, diagnosis and management.

2 years ago i was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and recently i have found out i have a cord compression between c5 and c6 not sure if the two are related but seems possible. I have no idea how it happened, it just became bad enough one day and it couldnt be ignored, I believe it's been there for a long time and progressively gotten worse. It's now effecting my vision occasionally when reading and I'm always tired and uncomfortable, numb fingers, pins and needles and electrical shocks through mu entire occasionally etc. But my biggest question is, is it possible this can effect mood, because my moods are quite sporadic as are my energy levels, the chronic fatuige doesn't help any of this either, but I am wondering if the compression could be a contributing factor to things like anxiety, depression, anger etc

@@droidmaldonado are your arms difficult to lift ? Has the strength decreased ? Is the numbness constant ? I only ask because docs have left me go too long. Bladder c, female c, over time pain in the spine burning tingling. Feels like laying on a broomstick. I basically am bedbound for almost a year. In one day upper arms and chest have now become numb and feel weak to lift. If I close my eyes I can't sense them. Legs effected too. When I stand, I don't even know I'm standing. Sometimes there is burning sensation. Feels like a tumour pressing in swallowing tube. Can't get any doc to take me seriously or order any tests. I don't know what I can do naturally to get rid of the c word and tumour(s). I am allergic to cbd and mmj. I can't even sense that I have a head or neck, no senses in it. ( I think cranial nerves have been damaged in my head ). I can't even sense the left side of my brain. Brain has constant tingling and pins and needles in it. Can't even sense my skull laying on pillow. Left side of body is weak. I think it was a stroke and over time now things going numb and weak from head down. Scares me. I can no longer breahe from upper chest only belly breathe for many months and that's getting weaker. My breathing stops on it's own during the day, brain doesn't send signals. Do you have similar symptoms from compression. I don't know if i have spinal cord tumours because no doctor will run any tests. I'm suffering and passing I feel. I cannot function and cannot self care. Weak and fatigued all the time.

I have Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer. Diagnosed October 2018. 10 plus areas of my bones are compromised. I have numbness in left hand and arm. Without further tests or treatment I assume my symptoms will increase. I’ve decided against chemo as this will only give me 6 months to a year survival. Instead, I’m taking 50 grams vitamin c Iv therapy - bi weekly. Last full body scan showed tumor growth had decreased.
