My two cents: The opening notes are a bit quieter. However, once the drums and bass kick off (0:10), the bass is far louder than the original master, but also much fuller and fuzzier (that dark, beautiful purr you always help cultivate, whether it's Cliff or Jason). Instead of single bass notes on the downbeat, you show us the full extent of Cliff's playing: slides, bends, and other dynamics that really highlight him as a full-fledged member of the band. With the space you provide, you also nudge Lars' cymbals into the periphery and grant his kick (0:23-0:27) and snare more fullness and texture. The slide (slap?) at 0:29 was barely audible before; now it's nice and clear. Good stuff. I love how you utilize space to augment the band's canon attack (the joining of individuals into a group one at a time). The original mix tends to sound very flat, binary and loud; you inject a ton of space between everything, letting it breathe regardless of how many people are playing. I also love how Cliff's notes remain audible during Lar's snare roll (0:40-0:42), as well as little rhythmic oddities I never noticed before (0:43; Lars' stuttering kick drum in the following bars). I will say that the sound of the rhythm guitars feels a bit dampened, warm and fuzzy compared to the razor-sharpness of the original, but there's so much more to appreciate in the rhythm section, drum- and bass-wise. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Consider the refrain (0:50): Lars is honestly all over the place, his bass drum exploding with tons of flourish. The stomp is still there, but it's provided more by the guitars than him. Things go back to normal somewhat approaching the verse (0:57), but being able to pick out these extra touches adds a lot to the song. This includes the tom rolls, but also the ride snare(!) at 1:24 (it's not exactly Mickey Dee from "Welcome Home," but I'll take it!). Furthermore, the original master has none of this added detail, sounding much more guitar driven ("chug chug chug chug") and basic from a percussion standpoint, but also a bass standpoint: Cliff's descending basslines walk comfortably alongside James' pentatonic licks (1:29, 1:35), and all the while, Lars has a surprisingly amount to say as well (I miss young Lars so much...)! Your mix's added space continues to impress: The sinister rumble from Cliff (1:44); the sweeping toms from both sides (1:48); that neat little drum variation at 1:51. Everything has room to work and expand. This being said, there is a bit of clipping from the bass (at 1:53-1:56) that sounds bad, overwhelming the chorus in the process. You can hear it again at 3:00 and later, at 5:24. Not sure exactly what it is, but it does detract from the experience a bit. The above elements repeat through the second verse leading into the bridge (3:11). Here, the snare and cymbals breathe better. However, the kick also boasts a ton more heft. And back for the third time: "Space (in my best Tim Curry voice)!" Truly your ability to use space absolutely smokes, though especially how it augments crescendos and canon. James kicks off (3:15), tearing into the right of the mix, followed by an utterly devastating snare roll from Lars. Before, the snare roll was audible, but here, it just comes out of nowhere (requiring nowhere to exist). Then, Cliff joins in as well (3:25). It's a similar technique as heard on AJfA, except much less guitar-centric-one that includes, you know, the entire band? I also love how the rhythm guitar doesn't dominate everything, Black Sabbath-style. Instead, the soloist has room to roost (3:36), all while Lars skips tom fills around Kirk like stones (3:35, 3:40, 3:45, 3:50). The way you highlighted both, weaving them seamlessly together, sounds really, really cool. Similar punctuation is emphasized after the solo, with Cliff's pounding ostenato (4:16) accented by galloping flourishes (4:25). This ostenato continues until 4:41, when Lars decides to go crazy again. It sounds a little uneven, but also lends variety before dialing things back in the final verse. Even so, I absolutely love that skittering fill that Lars wraps around James, at 5:07. Moving into the doomy outro, the drums and bass sound dandy, not going too crazy as those descending half-steps read us our fates. Groovy! Honestly, I walked into this one expecting a bit of extra bass and drums and that's it. Instead, it was more like turning over a rock and finding so many cool things crawling underneath. There's a few ear daggers thrown in with the worms, to be sure, but all-in-all I think this ranks as one of your best all-time mixes. Please feel free to do the entire album this way! \m/ P.S., For those of you on the lookout for Nazi paraphernalia following Metallica's epic cancellation, please consider the skull-and-crossbones on James' t-shirt: Is it the infamous "Death's Head" shown on SS-Totenkopfverbände uniforms or merely a skull and cross-bones a la the Jolly Roger? Should we ban skulls now? I'll let you decide!

@Hatem Raafat yeah but he's p most likely pulling them from the internet rather than having the original tracks

@@TheSWCantina Keep in mind the official remasters are just that. Re-MASTERS. Ahdy also tweaks the mix and it looks like he's got access to separated drum stems, which gives him more room to work with than in the days when we just had the guitar hero stems with all the drums in one track. This is why we've come from just bass boosted AJFA "remixes" to this awesomeness.
Simply perfect! Thanks a lot for your great remasters!
Another awesome remaster Ahdy. I'm amazed how you've made this sound so much better. Thanks
Incredible clarity! Perfect mix! 🙌
Ahh, another track to listen 10x in a row... Still waiting for Four Horsemen :)
man how i love these remixes, makes the songs way better
I wait so much time for this remix and remastered, Awesome work Ahdy, i fvcking love it ❤️
Just woke up and found this .... 🕪 🎧 🔊 It's gonna be a good day 🙏 🤘🤘
I really wish Metallica would see this and hire you to do this for every one of their early albums.
really good mixing as usual!
I looooove the way you highlighted the jam at 3:15! Just stunning work overall!
Lovely work my man. Everything so much more present! Although sadly it brings out Lars' awful double kick stabs under the main verse riff which were barely audible in the original (probably deliberately buried). Not ragging on Lars though. He nails them in the heavy half time bit at the end of the track.

Incredible mix of video and sound. Congrats, the two qualities of the mix are incredibles. Thank you so much. Very nice job. ;-)
FINALLY AHDY I WAS THINKING WERE WHEN YOU GONNA UPLOAD AGAINNNN MAN YOU'RE A GOD KEEP IT UP! After hearing it, this is without a doubt one of your best pieces of wrok, there is just a massive and I eamn MASSIVE improvement over the original in every way. And I always thought this song desesperately needed a boost. You're a goddamn wizard! PS: I'm also loving your covert art too. Two Cents guy is gonna have a field day on this one, jajaja.
What a great way to wake up in the morning: finding on my phone a notification about your new upload 😇 thank you
The power of James is AMAzing
Really digging your touch ups on these. There's something timeless about the original masters and how they sound on budget setups or through cassette, but these BANG on high quality audio set ups.
Beautiful!
honey wake up new ahdy khairat remix just dropped
Your remixes sound amazing on my Behringer EPS500 PA feels like I'm live with them with the best sound guy money can buy.
2 words: fucking amazing. Ahdy you're a fucking god

You are listening Dr. Ahdy , its Perfection
I love that the bass is louder and clearer than any other mix of the song. Cliff rules
I don't know about mixing or any of the accompanying lingo, but the vocals/bass/guitar compliment the shit out of each other in this mix. 👏
sounds great , tnx andy
The improved drums make the whole mix. Great stuff
It’s so crystal clear 👍🏾
Been going through your vids, you've done some GREAT work with these classics!! Any chance you might remix/remaster older Trivium, such as Like Light to the Flies?
Excellent!!!!
Snare needs to be louder imo

So bad ass!! 🤟🏼
Holy shit this sounds amazing!
Cleaner than Mr.Clean!!! Nice!!
Until now I had no idea of how the kick drum in this song worked.
Good work, you don’t make it sound stale and overly modern crap like some remixers!
Ahdy, if i may have a request...my man i gotta hear Leper Messiah remixed next, PLEASE. That song is a drug to me buddy. Either way, thank you so much for your talent my friend.
Escuchar el bajo de Cliff me dio un org4smo , me encantó el video ❤

Would love to hear this man do Battery!

Where's 2 cents guy?!? This is bloody well good, thanks and well done
I was searchiiiiing for something good on YT and then... \m/
Dude is popping them out left and right, lets fucking go
Great! Can you please remix The End of the Line, so that you finish Death Magnetic?
I would love it if you could remix more Pantera songs please!
Full Power🤘
🤘🤘🤘
I love sound kick bass
One of those channels you put a like to new videos before watching
I’d say do some Iron Maiden or maybe some Anthrax next. Wonder what “Among The Living” or “Hallowed Be Thy Name” would sound with the Ahdy treatment. You need to be in charge of all these bands’ remasters!
Sounds so GOOD! Ahdy is the master!
GOAT!
I always liked my metal fresh and crispy.
Instant like from me
