It's one of their most underrated (*edit: okay, so not really underrated because most Metallica fans really love and appreciate this jam, but it’s underrated compared to Ride The Lightning or MOP) Please do it next! The lead singer of MegaDeth Dave Mustaine was the original Lead Guitarist for Metallica in their early days but he got kicked out of the band. Then they replaced him with Kirk Hammett. This is the unfortunate truth. For so long, Radio, and later channels like MTV dictated what people were exposed to, and what those stations play largely depended on advertisement, sponsorship, and money flowing from larger record labels. That's why genres like pop, which are actually fairly terrible, is so much more common.

@@kesslerlopez4254 Sorry if u got to translate this man!

I’m 51. I was in 7th grade when this album came out. Same album as this song, jump in the fire is one of my favorite songs. Fun fact - Dave Mustaine of Megadeath was Metallica’s original guitarist. He was a mean drunk when he was young and was fired from the band, replaced by the current Kirk Hammett. The Seek and destroy riff was written by Dave Mustaine. Kirk Hammet is the lead guitarist. James Hetfield is the rhythm guitarist. The original bassist, the one on the first 3 albums through Master of Puppets, was Cliff Burton. He died on tour in Sweden when their bus flipped over on black ice in 1986. He was replaced by Jason Newsted who was with them through the St Anger album. Robert Trujillo took over as their bassist in 2003. He used to play for Suicidal Tendencies in the ‘80’s. 🤘

As a kid who grew up with Metallica in the 80s i never saw the legend status everyone gives them. Im a Motorhead/Suicidal Tendencies type guy. I saw Pantera in like 1992 and it was epic. The intensity level was stratospheric! About 20 seconds of 'Respect, Walk' would change your top 3 right quick. 'Primal Concrete Sledge' will intensify any workout program. After that you will be ready for the next level.

Some history on this song/album, Dave Mustane was the original lead guitarist of Metallica before he got kicked out for severe alcoholism. He went on to start Megadeth and killed it, and also wrote all the original guitar solos for this whole Album “Kill ‘em All” before he left the band. Kirk Hammett took his place as lead guitarist of Metallica and put his own little spin on each solo. James Hetfield the lead singer is also the rhythm guitarist creating the riffs. James and Lars (drummer) are the masterminds

Hey. New subscriber. I love seeing you guys in college and experiencing this stuff for the first time. I was dying when one of you said we had to reply in MLA format. I use APA though. 😂 Been a fan of rock and metal for almost 40 years. Dave Mustaine from Megadeth was originally in Metallica and shares songwriting credits for several songs on Kill ‘Em All and Ride the Lightning. He was kicked out for being a jerk alcoholic. The silver lining is that he went and created Megadeth. Lars and James then went and recruited lead guitarist Kirk Hammett from the Band, Exodus, which you should totally check out. Old school thrash metal at its finest. They (and this is critical) also recruited bassist Cliff Burton. That is the the core, classic lineup. This lasted through the album, Master of Puppets. Sadly, Cliff was killed in a bus accident on the tour. The band then got Jason Newsted from the band Flotsam and Jetsam to play bass for many years. He eventually left and was replaced by Rob Trujillo, the current bass player. Metallica are unquestionably masters of their art, but they’re not flawless. After the …And Justice for All album, they released the “Black” album. It was their most commercially successful album, but there is still division among fans regarding whether or not the band sold out. After that, they got weird and released some albums that are generally considered to be inferior: Load, Reload and St. Anger. Those are, at the very least, disappointing after hearing the good stuff. James went and took singing lessons and changed his vocal style after the Black Album. Eventually, they found their footing again with the album Death Magnetic. The newest album, Hardwired to Self Destruct is also pretty good and shows influences from throughout their career. You can’t go wrong listening to these earlier albums. Just be wary of the newer ones. Try the songs Fuel, My Apocalypse, Atlas Rise and Spit Out the Bone for some of the decent newer songs. Hope this helps. Rock on!

The title for this album was originally meant to be, "Metal Up Your Ass". No one would produce it. Kill 'Em All refers to all the brass in the industry. This album was released without singles. They did not have an album that included a "single" till Justice (...And Justice For All). Which was the album that was the beginning of the end for the respect their original fan base had for them.

Metallica was founded in 1981 solely by James and Lars. Dave joined in 1982 after James and Lars had written 3 songs. Dave helped write 4 songs for kill em all and James wrote 5 songs for kill me all. Dave was fired before they recorded kill em all - he never played on an album. Dave created Megadeth possibly the only band that could really rival Metallica. Dave and megadeth are great but you'll find people overexaggerate his contribution and history with Metallica
