Thanks for the upload!!!! I've been a metallic fan since 98-99 when i truly got into music. But i can vaguely remember seeing one on MTV around 89-90 with my dad while my mom, grandfather, uncle and some other friends went to a WWF thing. I was 5. Very well conceived and spoken tribute from Flea. He speaks eloquently but authentically about the creature that is metal music, and specifically Metallica's. His thoughts about aggressive music being alchemy ... so perfectly said. Which points to the unconsciousness that is rife in the censorship that we are seeing on KZread against songs that for example, speak of suicide etc. These themes are real life, and powerfully human. Why would any conscious energy being trying to withold this humanity and contain it from the freedom that it simply is. Anyways ... beautiful speech and ceremony.

There's women everywhere. It's it's awesome. There's nothing like it
Nothing against Trujillo's very obvious extensive talent and playing ability, but Jason Newsted is/was a force to be reckoned within this band that is sorely missed.

Huge understatement.
Probably the most emotional Rock and Roll hall of fame I have ever seen, James speech made me cry
when he talked about metal and how it turns misery in this harsh world into beauty, Metallica saved me from true pain and anger idk what id be doing without James Kirk Lars amd 3 legandary bassists in my life, fade to black will forever be my song.
Great ceremony! I love how they brought Jason back for this award and performance! So awesome and so well deserved. Simply the best of the best!
The legendary guitarists on stage at the end is just insane. Has there ever been a stage with as many legends? Page, Beck, Hammett, Hetfield, Wood, Perry?

Bown away! 😮
Metallica is a part of my live. First time i heard them in 1983 , it´s done, untill today. almost 40 years and it´s not done .
Ok................. let's take a moment to appreciate how incredible that stage was at the end of the night!!!! Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, and Ron Wood all graced Metallica with their presence and jammed the fuck out!!!!!! I mean, let's not forgot that Kirk Hammond is 'one of those guys' already but c'mon!!!! That is a stage FULL OF LEGENDS!!!!!! The Yardbirds are represented, Aerosmith is represented, Led Zeppelin is represented, The Rolling Stones are represented................ if your jaw isn't dropping yet then you fucking suck at music!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope they rock for another 3 decades! I'm 61 and love them
Great to see Jason up there with the boys and of course, Cliffs folks. I'm not a huuge Metallica fan but I do appreciate them and are worthy of the induction 100%.
"For Whom The Bell Tolls", "Enter Sandman", "One"; I used to play on stages with my high school mates 26 years ago. Dang, time flies so quickly!
No words to describe the best metal band of all time... METALLICA!

Metallica is one of the best Rock bands in the world. Period. Thank You for share.
Jason is a breed all of his own. It takes a real one to thank the road crew and those others that help them out out amazing music and put on amazing shows.
8:47 you can see James' facial expression changing as the guy starts talking about Cliff, that tells a lot about how much he still misses him.
Much love to the whole band, current and former. I appreciate the contributions from all members. Special love for Jason AND Rob!
Metallica was a complete game changer. Older now, while I scoffed at the Black Album, Load, Reload, at the time, the fact is, they have aged well

Cliffs Mom, Jan. The one who showed steps in music theory.. with classical inspiration. Well done supermom..
Seeing Jason up there again makes me smile. 😀
I like to see everyone getting along and having some fun. Jason getting some the love that he deserved and I really, really enjoyed how much everyone seemed to have(except for Joe Perry for some reason)playing Train kept a Rolling. Everyone else was jamming out, laughing and just having a blast up there during that song. Good to see.
Thanks for the upload!!!! I've been a metallic fan since 98-99 when i truly got into music. But i can vaguely remember seeing one on MTV around 89-90 with my dad while my mom, grandfather, uncle and some other friends went to a WWF thing. I was 5. Cliff is 1 of my favorite bassists along with Newsted, and Trujillo. Could even throw Flea in that list. Bass is my instrument of choice..
that 34:00 minutes is still giving goosebumps. What a moment.
Gracias KZread por recomendarme esta joyita
I always loved Flea, because he does what he does, and he is what he is. But after this emotional speech to honour Metallica - i adore him. Great man! Metallica rules …
Even though he would hate it, Mustaine should be in the HOF part of Metallica too, he's the one who started it all.
This band had many great songs that inspired and even saved lives like fade to black, pulled people out of darkness and filled their souls with hope. My favorite band 🤘
To show the love they give is a gift to us all. Much respect for the music and all there power in there songs

Underrated comment. You deserve more likes.
Reporter: "How long has the band been together as Metallica?" James: "Well since we started." 🤣👍🏻
Probable one of the most honest and pure 'in your face' interpretation of musical art from a fellow 'legendary' colleague. I love it. A fond memory to see this again and Metallica continues on. Thank you for sharing.
I think Trujillo blew some new energy into the band. Something about his personality, I think the guys feed off of him a little. And of course Jason was amazing for decades.

And justice for Jason!
Metallica music lyrics come off as very spiritual in nature. They speak more truth than what most preachers in America teach. All fabulous speeches, but from what I saw James the only one to give props to God. Thank you Metallica rest in heaven Cliff ✝️
Not the best performance of Master, but I am lving it, because of the loving way Jason is included.

Great show, loved see the boys come together for the Hall of Fame induction. As I was watching them perform, i couldn't help but wish they had played Orion, as a tribute to Cliff.
Gracias genio
Gracias Metallica!!
Seeing Cliff Burton's mom brought me to tears
A heartfelt video, thank you.
Love Metallica and all the people involved, Cliff ❤ Jason ❤ and the actual band, all of them had been constructed the Metallica we have today 🤘🏽
Brutal Metallica rules!!
Thanks for posting
His speech has me teary eyed
Love the hug in end between James & Lars.
best ever display of appreciation man

James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich are two truly respectable gentlemen. That hug will go down in history.
Kirk seems like the most humble of all them f*****s! Long live Rock n' Roll!
Love you guys so very much
I'm 53. Bravo to my youth heros, love ya!! Thrash metal was a God sent ;)
I am absolutely blown the fuck away. I must have been asleep for the past twenty years. When my friends heard that I never listened to these guys they looked at me like I was just coming out of a coma....Now I know why.....These guys fucking blow the doors off all the bands I grew up watching. The beauty of it all is that they all love one another. Class act.
Kirks smile during the final jam says it all. The 13 year old kid in him must have been shitting his pants while looking around him.
This song and “Watching the Wheels” were the two songs that were released just before his death that remind me of his enthusiasm about returning to his music. What a loss.
