Also, that intro is so majestic and classical, Cliff was a genius. He always composed great stuff. Not to mention the rest of the song, with that beautiful guitar harmony in the solo and the iconic double bass part. Simply one of their greatest tracks.

It’s just incredible how Metallica can be that good at their 60’s , just total respect.

I remember seeing James start the riff and only getting more hyped as it went on! A top 10 Metallica song for me since the day I heard it. A night to remember for years to come 😩🙏🤘🏽

When James is looking at Kirk, he is such full of energy and drives Kirk on to nail the solo and harmonics on every note, it is amazing. 😍

Ive always preferred the harmonizing guitar solo live to the album version because its literally just the bass carrying the rhythm along. The image that always pop up in my head during that part is two dragons of lightning dancing (the harmonizing guitars). The drums are the loud boom of thunder you hear during the dance and while all this ensuing chaos, a mage, in this case the bassist, is in the background orchestrating and controlling the storm of two dragons of lightning. The live version is so badass.
