I was at the MetLife show and we did the same. Jason was a great part of Metallica during his time with them.

I have a very strong obsession with Metallica and I was surprised with tickets. My Dad and I went to see them for this concert and they opened with this song on the first night and when I say I teared up would be an complete understatement. I bawled my eyes out.

I've cried on the Intro in Paris 6 years ago today! So much emotions for personal reasons...they didn't play it at the beginning of the Tour and I hoped they would play it on that day, I was crossing my fingers! And middle show, just after Last caress...Boom! 🤘🤘🤘It seems a little weird to write that but each time I have a strong emotion ( very strong ) I think about my father and his dog ( who became my dog after he passed away, she left us as well 2 years after ) I felt like somehow they were there with me...I know it's weird! So I ve cried! It was not sadness! And I think I m going to cry again now! Oh shit...😂

100,000 people chanting “Die!” in that stadium that night at the opening song, it was electrifying to be one of them, and that’s just one of the many great moments from that weekend. What a concert!

The die chant in the stadium was absolutely insane, thank you band and staff obviously, but also thank you everyone else who was there… because that was epic

I was there both nights August18 & 20! Amazing Concert. Creeping Death was the opening song for Friday night's Concert!

That energy. Best band in the world for a reason.

Kirks riff at 3:15 still up there with the best ever, 30 years later.

By far one of the better shows of theirs I've ever seen. Loved every second of the two shows. Hoping they release what was shown in theaters. Well worth the 12 hour drive from Florida to Texas for an amazing weekend experience.🤘🤘

Creeping Death is my favorite song of all songs. I was not in Arlington but I was in Montreal on the Friday show. I was so happy you opened with it. After the song I screamed as loud as if it would have been a MTL Canadiens playoff goal. Was a great show. I'm considering going to Edmonton next year. We will see!!🤘

For one, I got to share this with my wife and daughter, second this was their first time seeing them and finally it was my Birthday weekend. I lost it during Harvester, I had never heard that one live.

I lost it when they opened with this in the theaters. When my girlfriend and I got there in the parking lot I literally said “honey, I REALLY hope they play creeping death!! I want to see that (and a few other songs) more than anything!!!” Then jokingly I followed it with, “Wouldn’t that be insane if they started with it?” And this was what we were greeted too… best first Metallica concert experience!!!!! I sang every song they played too and it was like I was right there in the stadium Edit: we also got tickets to see them live in the sofi stadium last year and just 2 weeks before we realized we weren’t able to go due to unforeseen circumstances, we were just able to make it to the theater performance and man was it worth it. Thank you so much Metallica!!!

Hahah man that's sick, I kinda knew Creep would be the start going into the show but was still hyped when they did... this has been the standard opener since 1993 with the occasional weird one like Blackened, Breadfan and So What which I knew they were NOT gonna play lol.

i love how through social media, Metalica is totally emracing the new generation of fans.

This was my first time getting to hear Creeping Death live and it was amazing.

It doesn't matter how many times I listen to Ecstasy of Gold into Creeping Death, it will always make me get goosebumps! I was there that day, and my only criticism was that I can't keep following them every weekend. The friday show was good, but the Sunday show was something else! Just insane powerful energy and emotion.

After you check out all their classics I actually highly recommend checking out their newest album 72 Seasons! Don’t ignore the albums load or reload either they always get overlooked! I’m one of the few people who like St.Anger so you never know you may like it too (if you don’t like the snare check out edited versions or the live versions!). Also you need to check out the entire album this song is from “Ride the lightning”

@@zuckleyplays4120 St. Anger has some amazing riffs. I'm not the biggest fan of the production and drum sound but I love it when they play songs from that album during concerts. Dirty Window especially is such a banger live. I think every album deserves some appreciation, even if I personally like the Load/ Reload era less than most of their other albums (they still have great tracks on those too though and in the end it all comes down to personal preference). 72 Seasons actually turned into one of my all time favorite albums really quickly.
