Hey everyone! The acoustic guitar in this video is a Donner Full-size 41 inch dreadnought cutaway. Nice full vibrant sound and great feel especially for an entry level guitar. It's comes with a clip on tuner, capo, extra picks, a pack of strings, and more. Personally speaking, this guitar is better than my first instrument and cost less. Such a great price tag and if you are a beginner or musician with a tight budget, check it out! Few notes about the song. I'm following Hetfield's pick strokes in the verses (at least from his recent live performances) for the most part. If this feels unorthodox, go with pick strokes | D DU DU DU | D DU DU DU | D DU DU DU | D DU D D | (where D - Down and U - Up counted 1 2+3+4+). You may have to pause the video at 0:49 to see the next note because the tab scroll is somewhere cut off in advance. I'm only just starting to experiment with this style of showing both guitars at once so it will get better. I love Hammett's classic guitar solos. Brings me back to my teenage years when I was into practicing pentatonic and minor exercises and he is a big influence on my playing. I really enjoyed doing this tune and I hope you enjoy learning it. What's the next Metallica song gonna be?

Amazing channel you got here Mr. Tabs. I am a 58 year old who is getting back into playing guitar after years and I find this channel to be extremely helpful even if my fingers are not what they used to be. Lol Just wondering....have you or would you ever consider doing BB King's "How Blue Can You Get" from Live at Cook County Jail? I absolutely love that song and am more into the blues. Can't find a decent tab/lesson for that. Thanks for your great channel.

You're getting old dude. To be remembering way back when there was no youtube and barely an internet even and guitarists had to swap licks with mates, learn by ear, pick up bits and pieces from magazines and try and learn a metallica song or least some riffs or solo from the $40 official metallica album tabs book that you "borrowed" of your mate before your brothers or mates or brothers mates or mates brothers "borrowed" it from you. I still play some songs part right, part wrong that i made up back then cause the tabs went missing. Haha. Idk what i was thinking though...i shouldve just scanned them all with my phone and uploaded them to the cloud in pdf then print a few hard copies over wifi and cast the livestream or interactive video tutorial onto my smart tv and sync it to my pro digital recording studio setup or something? Idk why i didnt just do that back then? (Probably too many mushrooms or something. On the pizzas we ate. ) Oh yeah! Damn I'm nearly getting sorta oldish myself 😬 How did we even survive though bro without phones and google and social media and shit? (And why didnt we invent those things and get loaded af? ) How did we find any information about anything without google? How did we ever make friends and meet girls and grt to know them without Facebook or tinder? (Tinder? Or is that the gay one lol? Idk i dont use that shit. Or fb. Im happily engaged to marry the most beautiful young lady on the planet already. Who i actually first met on google plus come to think lol) Im almost suprused we even had guitars , electric ones even, and electricity. Or did we just stand in a lightning storm and putbour amps on lightnight rods? Geez, hard to imagine back then without all this modern tech. Like the dark ages. But damn i wish we could back to that!!! 😢😂 Freedom I'm sorry about the loss of your friebd though buddy. You know this is also the first song i learnt and we learnt as a crappy band my mates and brother. Amd wed play it over and over. With the one drum beat our drummer knew . And our rhythum guitar and bass guys learnt by ear and played it all wrong which was frustrating as the lead guy lol. And the drummer had it played at his funeral, bass guy no...thought innapropriate as he necked himself iwth a power cord (and i found him and perrformed CPR for 3 hours straight to no avail. One reason ill never sing this song or play it or listen to it played.... ive loat many good people to that shit and think its fucked up metallica wrote this to try and encourage it in sone creepy contest with megadeth)

It’s nice how this guitar solo is very accessible for most players, there isn’t really any parts that are too difficult.

I've only watched two videos so far but I can already see so many mistakes I'm making. I feel like I'm way too hectic and move my fingers a lot more than necessary and watching someone who really knows how to play guitar definitely helps noticing things like that.

These videos, apart from being impressed by how brilliantly you're playing them, they really make me (further) appreciate how incredible these songs, and songwriters, are/were. Just amazing.
