Jason presence those years on stage was something that brought that energy to Metallica, look at him with his psycho face growling and shouting. If Cliff was the sound, Jason was the image.

I got into Metallica once Robert was the bass guitar player. However, having watched live performances I must admit I can't place any of the three higher. Cliff, Jason, and Robert are all gifted. Back in the earlier days and when the members were younger, Jason undoubtedly filled in the gap after Cliff's death. His energy was outstanding, he was loud and heavy, and he carried the same level of insanity Cliff did. It was sad to see Jason go because of all the issues James was dealing with, nevertheless St. Anger was a powerful album even though many fans don't like it. Robert isn't as insane as Cliff and Jason, yet Metallica were older already and their style had changed as well; nevertheless, undeniably, he is always spot on.
Best Metallica's concert ever.

@@fordology1996 what
this is probably the best performance of this song. jason had such good backup vocals.
James' voice here is absolutely amazing. I prefer this version to the studio one, I think the deeper, raspier voice suits the song more!
Greatest concert ever held
Go Jason!!
Hasta ahora el mejor concierto que han tenido brutal!
sound quality is AMAZING

So much energy
Fucking A! Metallica at the pinnacle of their abilities. And fucking alcoholic, mullet wearing, pissed off, bad ass James. The best version of James there is.
The outro just killed it
@superste53 haaha i agree with you man. James's voice is extremely powerful at this point! its edge was between Master and AJFA. the combination between James and Jason's voice is awesome too. it's easy to recognize that James had never ever sang better than this times
Definitivamente la mejor época de metallica fue con jason

I'd like to know the story of this song. Why did they get inspire in the bible (book of Exodus) to write this piece?

They watched the movie "The Ten Commandments" together in a hotel room on their first tour. Wrote the lyrics right then and there.

Swift Sentinel no no, if you talking bout growl and depth, Jason is superior. But in terms of power only, James is highly over
