look up the misfits (I think he was inspired by them.) Anyways misfits was also a melodie punk band who made one of the best songs including last caress. No one does it better that glenn danzig

Not knocking this tone- arguably the best gig Metallica ever played! But check out Harvester of Sorrow live in Moscow 1991. The guitar tone is absolutely out of this world- I’ve never heard anything like it!

So Metal back then saw them 4x on this tour.Saw them 34x in life hope i can see them one more time but my health is in bad shape trying to hold on...

Whiplash sounds 10x more awesome played at this speed than what it does on the studio version.

Jason was insane here. Great vocals too .. headbanging

I love how they let Jason sing a verse for Whiplash.

Saw this tour at 17 in 1989. Deer Creek, Noblesville Indiana. Absolutely the best show I have ever seen.

My first concert was the Black Album tour. Seeing One performed live was what I've always thought a religious experience felt like to the insanely devout. I'd been bullied daily for ten years of school, then I was suddenly surrounded by thousands of people who were part of my tribe, all moving, all feeling the fucking energy. Moon was full overhead. No show ever quite matched that first one for me, though NIN in 95 and RATM came close to the same magic.

He did rapid double bass on the intro. Then he did little double bass bursts on every third or fourth beat.
